Some of these matchups are SAVAGE

Hell and High Water vs Inglorious Basterds was my most difficult choice. Both are great. I picked inglorious because of the opening scene, but I went back and forth.
The closest vote is actually
District 9 vs. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest - separated by 1 vote right now.
I think it's just that a lot of people haven't seen District 9.Micah97 said:The Porkchop Express said:I think if more people had seen Hell or High Water it would go really far in this field. That's surprising to me. PotC fell off significantly after Curse of the Bkack Pearl. District 9 was such a great movie. Eh, to each their own.
First Pirates will probably make a decent run although I haven't bothered looking at later round matchups.Ol Jock 99 said:
I thought that was the first Pirates. Oops. Wonder if others made the same mistake.
Voted District 9 either way.

Don't make every matchup mandatory in the next round. I don't want to throw the results voting between movies I haven't watched!

Deadpool and Wolverine vs Coco was my toughest match up.

Two matchups still tied 50%-50% through 124 votes.

Anyone have a suggestion for how long to make the subsequent rounds? 2 days each? 1 day each? I don't want this thing going forever.
The Porkchop Express said:
OK, new scheduling then.
Round of 64: Jan 4-5
Round of 32: Jan 6-7
Round of 16: Jan 8-9
Round of 8: Jan 10-11
Round of 4: Jan 11-12
Round of 2: Jan 13-14
My wife watched it once and never again! Probably my favorite non-star wars movie ever.Micah97 said:The Porkchop Express said:

Thanks for doing this, Pork. I always enjoy these.
Also, wife and I love Big Trouble. We watch it at least once a year.
Gangs and BH Down, as well as Bagger Vance, are far better than at least 80% of the original bracket IMO.Bruce Almighty said:

Tell her I've seen Frozen 400 MILLION TIMES but I knew what would happen to it here. Same with Tangled, which is my favorite disney movie of the last 30 yearsIowaggie said:The Porkchop Express said:Start your own tourney anytime, chiefclonebucky said:Gangs and BH Down, as well as Bagger Vance, are far better than at least 80% of the original bracket IMO.Bruce Almighty said:

This is what I told my daughter when she complained that Frozen wasn't included. She complained your anti snowman, and I sang, "Let it go"

Brian Earl Spilner, despite our oft-tumultous relationship, I am truly sorry for one of the matchups coming in Round 2.
The movie in question will win the matchup, it just is going to knock another of your favorites.Brian Earl Spilner said:The Porkchop Express said:

I take it we're getting a LOTR matchup.
My pick would be FOTR in any case but it would be a shame to lose any LOTR this early.
