Since At Attin was an old Republic world, wonder if the Supervisor could be a Jedi that could counter Jod?

I think they know they are hidden because of their "work" which is making credits. They talk about contacting the Republic.

They don't know the Republic fell or about the Empire.

I suspect the supervisor is the big reveal of this show. I don't think it is the old pirate captain, it could be a Jedi but I hope not. Maybe its Jar-Jar. But it will be someone we know or have heard about.

Maybe the parents are all original crew members of the pirate who is now the man in charge.

I had the idea to go look in the credits for the last episode. The voice of the supervisor was Stephen Fry, fairly well known Brit comedy actor.

This has been a fun show. I like it when Star Wars shows are done well. Great chemistry between the kids and Law.

Good writing always helps a show but the chemistry of the main characters in the original three was a big reason they were great.

Didn't expect that head cutting off scene.

Of a droid. LOL

I'm pretty sure they can fix him. Remember CP30 in The Empire Strike Back?

What I'm really impressed with is how good a job the show did of revealing its true nature in the marketing materials before hand. Only the Mandalorian was able to do a similar good job of keeping the big hits out of the trailers and other promo material.

Plot twist- everyone on At Attin is a Jedi.

I think it'd be kinda cool if at attin is in the outer rim where the First Order was built. Would be a fun twist if the parents were working for the bad guys all along (even if unknowingly).

Episode was a lot of fun and definitely agree with everyone above that Jude Law has been a great surprise!

Would be interesting if we find out that the Supervisor is someone who ends up being a part of the First Order and this ends up financing the bad guys….on the other hand I really don't want this tied to anything in the sequel trilogy at all and would rather this story stand on its own…

Just caught up on the show, but haven't caught up on this thread.

This is just about the most fun Star Wars has ever been. A wonderful story with so many little details done right (like the ruined defense satellites above the other At-planet, the way the kids are written), delightful twists and turns, and a great performance by Jude Law. I'm absolutely loving it. This plus Andor give me hope that Star Wars can put out great content again.

Predictions for finale in spoilers just in case: I hope and bet the supervisor turns out to be Tak Rennod, who told 33 to say he'd been murdered by a mutinous crew so nobody would suspect he was alive, and we'll get a pirate on pirate fight in the finale. Rennod might even recover his dagger from Jude law and use it against the light saber (it could be Beskar or something).
Thanks and gig'em

Building on my guess for the finale:
Wim will end up in the supervisor's tower, where he finds the corps of Captain Rennod surrounded by gold and luxury. He'll learn that when Rennod reached the planet, he killed the old supervisor, locked down the planet so only the Onyx Cinder could come and go, and programmed all the robots to call him captain and keep producing wealth.
Having reached this point, Wim will declare claimsies and become the new captain of all the robots. He will order them to subdue Jod, which they will do with the help of the other children and their parents. Show ends with Jod back in jail. If they want to do a session 2, the pirates back outside the barrier will put out an ominous call to some other pirate lord saying they've found the claim of the century and can offer him a chance for revenge against Silvo (because who doesn't seek revenge on Silvo?)
Thanks and gig'em

Apologies if already mentioned, but Rennod is Donner backwards.

The Goonies director? Richard Donner.

yes. And Tak backwards is Kat. Maybe Kathleen Kennedy?

Just binged all 7 with my daughters. Very enjoyable show. Fun and quick.

SM33 is my favorite but sure seems to switch sides a lot based on flimsy pirate code logic.

I kept expecting Jod to turn out to be good and acting in the children's best interest all the time, but it just doesn't seem pgrobable anymore.

The New Rockstars breakdowns on YouTube are very worth watching if you're into the SW Easter eggs.

I really liked the reveal of Jod's backstory and think a lot of other shows can learn from it. Didn't need a flashback, didn't need a whole episode of backstory, just give a good monologue to a good actor and sit back and enjoy.

Am I the only one a little disappointed by the very end? No conversations with republic officials, Jod status unknown...My 9 yr old asked "why is he smiling?"

I enjoyed the season and the finale. Maybe a little too neatly wrapped up, but I suppose that's expected for a kid show. The droid running the show was kind of a cool surprise. Makes some sense that the sister planet might have fallen into such anarchy, assuming it was also run by a droid.

Agree. Felt like it needed 10 more mins of a jump forward to the future to show what the kids were doing, what was happening with Jod, etc.

Door was left open for Jod redemption. He was watching his old way of life burning and going down in flames. He kind of had a smile, he may respect the kids on how they accomplished what they did, maybe also recognizing that there is some light. Jod is a complex guy that is not evil. He's had a tough life and scraps for what he can. Potential there for half-redemption arc maybe. Kind of guy that can't be fully trusted but he's not 100% bad.

The show was told through the kids perspective. Everything that would happen after with the New Republic would happen to the adults.

Was that the death star at the end or just a very similar looking moon?

If it was the DS then I assume that is the Great Work. But not sure with the barrier and the supervisor saying they have had no visitors for a long time how anyone at At Attin would have any dealings with the Empire.

I might be way off. I only casually follow star wars.

My nine year old also thought it was the DS.

But this show is after the fall of the empire

No, I think it was just that planet's moon that no one could ever see because of the barrier

I also liked the linear story telling without having to jump in and out of flashbacks. Good series, answered a lot of questions but Leaves it open for season2. What's going to happen to Jod? Was there anyone important in that republic transport? What happened to the old pirate? Will that owl lady eat the pirate mouse?

9 year old is probably about the level of follow im at. I wasn't sure on the timeliness. I know they said some things in the show but talking about Republic, Old Republic, New Republic, this battle or another I get lost.

So where does this fall in the Star wars universe timeline?

Jod said he was a child during Order 66. Jude Law is 52 in real life. So this show is ~40 years after Oder 66.

I think the barrier extended out way past the planet. So what you saw was actually just the planet.

This. The show made that clear when they first entered the barrier.

I am talking about the very last few frames on the episode. The kids are on At Attin and look into the sky and there is a moon that has a death star look to it.
Looked like the one around Saturn

I think that's right up there as the best Star Wars series. Just nailed it at every level. Such a fun adventure, looked great, great characters, epic feel, all the right notes. Big thumbs up from me!

Interesting that the last message from the Republic was saying the Jedi are all traitors.
Means Palpatine decided to keep At Attin silent and hidden and not ever used against him.
Imagine the Rebel Alliance with access to that mint!
