How long would it take to go from collapse of society to crazy clan warfare?
According to F16, about 25 minutes.

Man this show has been fun so far! My wife and kids are enjoying it too.

The mystery behind everything has been fun to see unfold and am really interested to see what happens next. Also it's been great to have each episode so far amount to something and not be filler….

This was an interesting ep, some cool backstory reveal around At Attin and it's sister planets. They're doing a really good job giving us a bigger mystery around the kids' adventure while not making it the focus of the show.

Sidenote: love that The Daniels directed this ep, I want to do see them do a bigger Star Wars or Marvel project (Shang Chi 2 anyone?).

My dad and brother are in town for 2 weeks to meet the newest baby in the family and this has been a really fun show to watch together after the kiddo goes to sleep.

We are 3 episodes in and having a blast.
Thanks and gig'em

You know this idea struck me the other day. What if the At Attin that the kids are living in at the beginning of the show is a construct somewhat like the settlement in "The Village" by M Night Shamalamadingdong?

Like it's what At Attin looked like at some point in time, but they had to flee their planet and set up some sort of artificial construct and just kept pretending that they were part of the Republic and everything was fine - and the barrier was set up as much to keep others out as keep them in. The buried ship could even be the way they had escaped - they made a run for it, got boarded by pirates, crashed on whatever planet they are now, and buried the ship there.

The kids accidentally go into hyperspace and when they set a course for At Attin, it takes them back to what the ruins of the planet that some other generation originally fled from, possibly even their own parents or grandparents. The kids don't realize that At Attin doesn't really exist anymore.

Their parents could have replicated the homes they all grew up in - which would explain why the homes the kids find are the homes they know, but much older.

Interesting scenario. I do wonder at what point (assuming At Attin is the original, real deal) they stopped communicating with the other sister planets. Maybe they heard of the fall of one of the other planets and decided to hide themselves forever? Maybe they hired the pirate (or he's from their originally) to go make sure the coordinates for their planet were forever wiped out?

If this were real life, wouldn't the kids and Jod Na be able to plug the droid into the ship and download his memory without turning him back on?

I've wondered if maybe we're seeing the evolution of them trying to create this perfect contained society. They've tried different things on these different cloned planets and At Attin is the one that worked. And bigger picture, who are the "they" behind this?

Also really curious what sort of media and history they've been fed, they seem to have no understanding of the Clone Wars or the revolution against the Empire but Wim's comics show at least some references to the Jedi.

Exactly. How long would it take for the galaxy to forget about a planet to the point it becomes a myth or legend?

It only took like 25 years for Luke Skywalker to become a myth and he was still alive

Was wondering this very thing and there's multiple interesting ways it could go. Other things to consider:

Cat/Owl map lady made a comment about the Great War (OT) and the kids had no idea what she was talking about…

Smee was programmed to kill anyone asking about At Attin once he was allowed to remember it…

There were still people living on At Achinn from the most recent episode….how did they get there?

Jude Law's character steals a line straight from Qui-Gon Jinn in TPE - "Your focus determines your reality."

Given that we talked a week ago about how Jude Law would have made an interesting Obi-Wan, I have to delve into the EU possibility that Jude Law is a former Padawan or even one of the Lost 20 Jedi. I did not stoop so low as to read the prequel books for kids, but I do know that many of them were the adventures of young Padawan Obi-Wan with Qui-Gon going up against a fallen padawan of Qui-Gon's named Xanatos. No way it's him ,but the kernel of an origin story is there at least.

Kid turning the lightsaber on the wrong way was fantastic.

I'd say that the infamous pirate guy we hear but not see is probably the "Supervisor" that they have referenced on the planet among the parents.

Great use of the Muuns and a Hutt at the spa and Ithorians and Rodians on At Attin.

Not exactly sure where I'm going with this idea, but perhaps the show's title "Skeleton Crew" doesn't just refer to the kids or the skeletons, but also the people on the planet. Maybe this Supervisor person is running an old Republic Mint with a minimum # of people who are duped into believing they all live on an Old Republic world.

Lots of fun with trap doors and kids wearing disguises and a pretty intense double cross by Jude Law at the end.

Onyx Cinder is a bad-ass name for a ship.

Thank you! I knew I had heard that line before in Star Wars but couldn't remember where.

Kinda surprised they had Jude Laws character turn on them….not that he wasn't being written that way obviously it was heading that direction…….but he held a knife to a girls neck and drowned a bunch of pirates in acid……holy crap!

Was cracking up as well with Smees little insults on the planet about how horrible everything was….we he exclaimed, "What have they done??? It's awful!" when looking at this giant paradise resort just got me chuckling.

3 episodes left…..we got a quick glimpse on the parents working towards something on At Attin but that's it so wondering if we're going to be picking up the plot there a bit on these last 3….

I know it's a (mostly) kid's show, but I am chuckling a little at how we watch them go through a series of deadly traps, and then Wim is like "you know what, we can get out by falling down this trap door.

When Jod was telling Wim that line about focus and the stuff about attachments, I told my son that his advice isn't bad, but he's coming from a place of selfishness. I still don't know if we'll get a change of heart from him, but obviously he isn't going to roll up to At Attin and take over the mint.

Which I do think is exactly what Smee's previous captain did. I agree with a poster above that he might be the "supervisor"

So do we know Jude Law's motivation for betraying the kids? Because it feels kind of unnecessary to me at this point. Seems he could just as easily go along with the original deal and cause some sort of ruckus once they reach At Attin, if his plan is to take over the mint or get more money than the reward.

He turned on them more for the plot's sake than any real character motivation. Or so it seems. I guess we'll find out. I'm still enjoying it either way. Fun show!

Was wondering the same thing but I'm guessing it was because he simply wanted full control of the robot after he was able to get the coordinates of At Attin especially after finding out who that ship belonged to

Great episode! Agreed on the kid turning the saber on upside down was a nice touch. I stand by my theory that Jude Law was a padawan at the temple when order 66 went down and somehow escaped and led a life of piracy

I actually really enjoyed both episodes. I thought the planet was fun because it was different. Pirate hang out was pretty fun. Much better than acolyte.

One of the few good SW products that Disney has produced. Really enjoyed it so far. Hiring a legit actor like Jude Law and writing a character/diaologue which actually allows him to act is a rare W for Disney. One of the few annoying flaws is Fern's character being kind of one-note. Other than her brief vulnerability to Wim in one scene, her constant mini-girl boss snarkiness got old quickly. Disney couldn't help themselves but have a 12 year old girl who did kinda good on At Attin's STAAR tests assert dominance over a literal jedi pirate captain lol. But, otherwise it IS a cool premise and has been executed well, awesome world-building and loved all the little details.

Going to roll my eyes at your Disney comment, but I think the Fern thing has more to do with Jod not wanting to deal with a violently loyal pirate droid if he crossed her too early, not Disney trying to be like you're saying. Fern is very one noted, but it makes sense that she's the "leader" of the kids when her mom is the most superior of their parents back on At Attin.
Cliff.Booth
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Except that he could have done the challenge/say yield thing way earlier. I don't mind her being the eldest type A character of the bunch of kids, but her sneering at Jod and saying sassy stuff constantly just gets old. Like...we get it.

But, as I said, it's a minor annoyance in an otherwise very good show. At this point I'll take what I can get.
AgfromHOU
How long do you want to ignore this user?

He could have, but he was waiting until he got the coordinates to At Attin before doing so. If he crosses them before that then he's on his own. The kids were an asset to him because they could help describe the planet to anyone helping them get home. If he crosses them before knowing At Attin's location there's no way the kids would help him. I'll admit they ended up not being much help, but you have to play that card until you know the location. Fern's sass is just her trying to assert the illusion of dominance that she knows she doesn't actually have.

Was kinda of a "meh" episode for me but that's only when compared to this season which is still a decent episode….had some nice character development but ultimately we knew this episode was going to be now everyone was going to get off the planet….

That being said it was fun to see how the kids pulled it together and the effect of a ship being burried within another ship was legitimately cool and that affect was something I'd never seen before which made the ending pretty awesome!

Yeah dude. Just happens to be the first part of this video on YouTube so ignore the 16 minute run time as it's the first 10 seconds….

But yeah this thing literally sheds its skin and becomes a different ship underneath….so cool!
