Best episode of the season, maybe the series.

The scene with Nate basically telling Cami to shove it was the best of the whole episode.

So much of this show is simply wild as hell. I don't give one **** about Ainsley's story and hope we're done with that, forever.

But this entire episode of Tommy running around, putting out massive fires and building a new company, is what keeps me watching this stupid show, ever week. That's just fun to watch and BBT just kills it in that role.

I like the idea of S3 being them starting this new oil company. I most definitely think either S3 or S4 will have a big storyline of MTex going after them for the shady way Tommy pulled this off.

I can't predict how the MTex ocean drilling story line will go. Obviously it's a show, so we can throw the odds out the window. I can't tell if the showrunners want Tommy or Cami to win this. If Cami does, she becomes massive and can be vindictive against Tommy. If she loses and Tommy wins, that sounds like that would mean they are writing Cami and Mtex off of the show.

Overall, a very mid season. The best parts of this season were definitely this final episode and every time we got to see the stripper walk around in her underwear. I also have grown to really like the side characters of Nate, Dale, and even Rebecca. They did a good job of showing some real humanity with Rebecca this season, allowing me to start to like her. She can be a real *****, but she's a ***** who is loyal to Tommy.

The fact they even tried to make a case with Cooper, in west Texas, was ridiculous. This is not CA or OR; there is no support for rapists in any way, and no one would ever call the dead SOB a victim. He got what he deserved and had he lived, his pathetic life would have ended in prison. Midland and Odessa PD have WAY more important issues going on than going after someone stopping a rape assault.

Agree, but the point of that scene was to do two things. 1. give some additional humanity to Rebecca and 2. bury the hatchet between the characters of Arianna, Cooper, and Rebecca so they can go forward in the CTT partnership without that being a plot hole or tension.

You do realize that it wasn't an episode of Dateline, right? It's fiction.

Gallino wrote two checks. One for $44 million to repay MTEX and one for $18 million to fund the new drilling.

You're right... you missed it.

Already answered by VegasAg, but he writes two checks and hands them to Tommy in that scene.

To me it sounded like another oil company tried to swing their big dick around without a lot of foresight into how it would actually play in court

They also underestimated Rebecca's and Tommy's bigger dick

Yeah, it was explained away very quick, but it was clearly covered. A pipeline company didn't want their big wig employee framed as being a rapist, so they forced police to push for murder.

Best episode of the season. Problem-solving Tommy is best Tommy. Really liked the way this came together, as I had been wondering all season why he and that group didn't just form their own company.

The conversation with Cooper in the truck was hilarious!
"Can you Gen-Z me up a group text to ..."
"Oh, and Cheyenne. It's probably under 'stripper'".

Great rebound for the previous episode & I think they put a bow on the cheer camp thing pretty well.

Zero percent chance that Cooper would ever be charged wtih anything in Ector County, TX for stopping a R@pist but it was good to see the lawyer work.

Tommy actually used the word, Landman, in the correct context so that was refreshing.

Cooper batting 1000 on all of his oil wells might be a bit of a stretch, but its livable.

MTex, without Tommy, will go down faster than Chesapeake Engery.

Tommy's going to basically be working for MTEX again when Dan takes all of Cami's holdings that are worth anything after the offshore drilling venture fails miserably. She put up all her royalties as collateral to get the 400 million to drill from Dan..

How is she getting majorly hosed? Tommy paid her 44 million for the work MTEX did on Cooper's wells, she never even knew he was going to take those over for MTEX, and that paper trail is probably long gone now. No evidence. She never signed anything.

She can't really do anything to Danny because he is Cartel and she knew that going into an agreement with him. She would be criminally liable like Tommy told her. She would basically look like her company is the engine cleaning the money for the cartel.

Cami is just plain hosed, honestly. She is going to lose all her royalties to Dan, or even worse, the offshore rig is going to have some major problems and cost her millions in environmental cleanup..

She is in WAY over her head. No knowledge of how the business works, admitted that she enjoyed the "rush" of seeing the oil rig go by & that its emotional for her etc.
Didn't seem to understand that Monty was building up the business portfolio to sell it, not to keep it.
Didn't understand why Tommy wasn't emotional about the off shore rig and all of that.

She's a newb lamb in a business of wolves. In the real world, she would get crushed.

Taylor Sheridan might put a Hallmark movie outcome on it, but in real life, she would be hosed.

Because she didnt write his original employment contracts. Monte did, with the help of Nate. That means non-competes and strings attached.

And nate was still employed and would probably get disbarred if anybody knew what he did to stall before he resigned. There is a paper trail, otherwise they wouldn't need to pay m-tex back.

Not to mention the use of the plane, trucks, continued living in the house, and goodness knows what other abuses of company resources they could unearth if a lawyer decided to dig.

Im certain when the news of no legal counsel got out, plenty of sharks would offer their services and Tommie would be the first target.

So is the Bee-Gee Geologist still working for MTex on the offshore rig? Maybe he acts as a spy funneling inside info to Rebecca that they use to ruin her.

It felt like a series finale, not a season finale and I'm ok with that.

They've announced there will be a third season.

Any idea how long the wait will be? This was my last show that was putting out new episodes. I have no shows to watch. I am staring into the void of a vast show hole!

Same. We just finished this and "All Her Fault" last night.

But fear not! Season 3 of "Shrinking" starts next week on Apple TV. We're also just about to start "11/21/63" on Netflix.

If I ever feel like I'm forgetting about a show, I just refer back to the monthly TCTTS reminders.

I think it will be November of 2026, if they continue as they have done the first 2.

She's probably going to need Tommie and Nate next season anyway to get her out of a mess when she realizes she's in over her head and out past her skis. She will probably come begging them to sell the company before Danny takes it all...That will maybe be the drama next season, Tommie still helping her against Danny's wishes to take her company. There's definitely gonna be some drama with Tommie and the Cartel, it's not gonna be a fairytale ending.

Tommie was loyal to Monte, I could see him still try to get her out of this mess. You could see her cracking a little when even Nate told her she should sell and he could help her.

I remember him saying he will be on the rig for 6 months and they won't see each other till then. So his character is parked for a while
