Just finished. Fun show. Everyone likes Kerry and Rufus. I tried to quit it but wifey was watching so I got drawn back in.

The last 4 episodes are when the show really started and are twice as good as the previous 4. More focused. Tighter. Even with the line about coming on the red dress…

No. The first 3 1/2 seasons of West Wing are all time great television. This show will be forgotten within a week of watching it.

It's not bad really, but it's just lazy rushed writing in many aspects that has a lot of character interactions that are unearned and it absolutely has a political subtext that apparently several people missed. The show was very clearly pitched around a caricature period of the Boris Johnson/Donald Trump era.

It's not bad writing and as far as Netflix shows go it's a step above of their normal quality, and it's certainly more well acted than most of their shows, but it is nowhere near the level of West Wing.

All that said it's better than most shows that get made now. It is highly watchable.

I am now watching Madam Secretary on Netflix. It's pretty good and ironic how many of the scenes are now current events.

Just finished this show tonight. I was getting pretty bored through the first several episodes but I stuck with it. That ending was great and now I can't wait for the next season. This whole first season is just setting the table for what should be a really good show going forward. Loved the use of The Great Gig in the Sky for the final scenes.

I watched the first episode, but really haven't had a desire to watch the the rest. I'll eventually try and circle back to it after knocking out a couple other shows.

We just started this show. Two episodes in and we are enjoying it so far, but we love Keri Russell and Rufus. I'm calling this show the Reverse Americans.

Seems pretty politically neutral so far aside from the extreme amount of diversity that seems unrealistic and the ongoing trend to portray the few white guys that matter as wheels off clowns to be managed by non-whites around them. Granted, our current POTUS fits this portrayal perfectly, so I guess it's an accurate analogy in his case!

And I've never seen an actress show her body as much as Keri Russell between The Americans and this show. She is not scared. It's kind of fascinating because as opposed to someone earlier saying they are tired of nudity in shows...I almost never see nudity in shows anymore except for when I'm watching Keri Russell shows.

The wife and I just finished the show tonight and really enjoyed it. Can't wait for season two.

Also, I can see the similarities to the west wing but it's hard to compare the two as the entertainment landscape has changed over the past 20+ years. With all the streaming services and content out there today, shows have to pull you in fast these days and pack a seasons worth content into 8 or so episodes.

I don't think the PM did it. It's the lady behind the scenes running the show. She has a reason for it, but we don't know it yet. Maybe she's trying to get herself into a government position by orchestrating some previous predictions into existence and meeting herself look like a political genius. Pretty sure she's pulling strings all over the government, and she is the one who had the MP's car blown up because Kate told her he wanted a meeting. I'd bet she's manipulating the PM and he doesn't realize he's a pawn.

Finished season 2 last night . Solid season, wish it was longer than 6 episodes. Still interested enough to continue to watch it all unfold.

edit... just realized Trowbridge (the UK PM) is also Tom from rings of power.

The wife and I finished Season 2 last night - wow - what an ending! We were bummed when we realized it was only 6 episodes this season.

Love the actors and the story - just keeps getting better.

I enjoyed season 2, but for some reason the cliffhanger at the end made me irrationally annoyed because it seemed so out of left field.

Just finished season 2. Pretty good, i think everyone does their character well. I also like seeing what the "special relationship" could be like between US-UK.

This is a great series

felt like a half season. I hope it isn't too long before S3 comes out. I wanted more of it.

I was personally annoyed by the ending.

My wife likes the obergruppenfuhrur in pretty much everything.

We are finished thru season 2. Will watch season 3.

With a name like Rufus, how can you not?
