I know what you're saying, but for every theory that was proven true, there were probably 100 that were also mocked incessantly and weren't proven true.

Conclusion to the 2 posts above:

We are embodied spirits, which is empirically verified in medical settings every day as clinically dead people "return" to detail conversations and objects on the roof -

Therefore, at least one non-terrestrial reality of intelligent life exists.

Not sure if you have noticed, but the current uap stuff is composed of 100's of possibilities all the while still being open to others. Sure, there are those in the community that feel like they have it figured out, but I think most are agnostic to several theories and are mostly just open to the ideal that there is the possibility of something going on that is way above our current understanding of the universe and/or physics.

Honestly, you don't need to believe it's aliens. There are very prosaic explanations as well. This usually involves multiple people at many levels lying, though. If that's what you want to believe, that is fine. I don't completely rule it out either. I just don't think it's just obviously that, as even that brings a level of conspiracy to the discussion. But instead, our resident "skeptics" choose to either ignore all that or blanketly state it must all be lies and misinformation, as they firmly believe there's no way it could be anything non-prosaic, quickly reverting to mockery.

I'm still not entirely sure what you're implying or laughing at. Since 2017 and the NY Times article by Blumenthal and Kean, the actions and statements of government officials, military officers, elected representatives, defense industry lobbyists, and whistleblowers under oath indicate without any doubt that there is a phenomenon here. I'm not "falling" for anything. I'm posting UPDATES and NEWS. Some of it I agree with, some of it I don't. Either way, there's not a single thing I post here that has any kind of a political agenda behind it on my part. If Schumer & co happen to blame four Republicans for attempting to block his legislation, I'm posting that because A) the act of him doing so is news in and of itself, and B) it was the tweet I happened to come across that provided the latest update. If there was someone blaming Democrats, and it updated us on whatever story, I'd post that too. Hell, I've posted countless news items here from all kids of Republican representatives, Tucker Carlson, etc as well, and yet you conveniently fail to acknowledge that I'm apparently "falling" for their "propaganda" too.

The truth is, the last thing I'm thinking about when posting/discussing any of this stuff is political sides/agendas. And again, just because I post it doesn't mean I endorse it. Yet you can't help but constantly point out how stupid we are for buying whatever these guys are selling, when no one is saying we're buying it in the first place. It's just a tweet. You don't have to turn every last one of them into performative political virtue signaling.

Good grief…

Honest question…do you purposefully misconstrue things in order to have someone or something to rail against?

I have no problem railing against republicans. I think they're an absolute joke of a political party. I do find it hilarious though that for the purposes of the UFO community, this group of bumbling idiots suddenly wield immense power.

As for religion…I think I drew parallels to taking things as gospel without seeing them or without proof. What would you call that?

I thought after the last several years people would realize they need to question any messaging they're receiving but apparently that makes you a meanie-head ***hole.

Moving forward, I will attempt to run any post through my TCTTS filter as to not have to do this all over again. Again.

How so? Different (and more "important") people are talking about it now but to this point, 6 years later, it still remains…talk.
Prior to 2017, the only government entity officially paying any public attention to UFO/UAP reports was the Air Force. The message, pretty consistently, was that UFO sightings all had ordinary explanations (swamp gas, Venus, cloud formations, weather balloons, meteors, birds, etc etc) and nobody other than UFO enthusiasts ever questioned this. But then we found out, thanks to reporting in the NY Times (not the Enquirer, not the NY Post, and not the BFE Gazette in the middle of rural America), that secretly the Pentagon was actually concerned enough about the subject to dedicate defense resources to gathering and investigating UFO/UAP sightings seriously. Since then, there's been a fundamentally different tone from all levels of government about UFO/UAP. Perhaps you haven't noticed, but they're not laughing at it anymore. And that's what's different. It's not that the people who are talking about it are more "important". It's that our government, top to bottom and in between, is no longer publicly acting like skeptics. That alone, even without hard proof of any kind, ought to worry you. Why? Because either our government is overrun with crazy loons who believe UFOs are real, or our adversaries have outpaced us in technology, or there is another intelligent entity on this planet besides us.

Oh I 100% believe people are lying. Without a doubt. I think you would be an absolute fool not to.

Exactly, you guys want to just blanketly dismiss this without bringing any kind of actaul discussion to the thread.

For instance, what is the true intent behind their lies, especially considering the Fravor case? He, a former Top Gun pilot, presented his account to Congress and has been public about it, often being regarded as either delusional or dishonest. However, the videos that surfaced do corroborate what he claimed to have seen. While I agree these videos do not provide evidence of extraterrestrial activity, and one could argue they depict something mundane amidst odd coincidences, they still support his account. Fravor might be accused of lying for fame, but he wasn't the one who filmed the incident; it was recorded by a pilot who flew out after him. This pilot, along with others such as Dietrich who were with him during the sighting, have largely stayed out of the limelight. Dietrich has confirmed that Fravor's account is accurate, yet has remained mostly silent. Additionally, the radar operators on the carrier have corroborated that they tracked these objects and dispatched a team to investigate.

So, are all these individuals lying?
  • While 'fame' could be a motive for Fravor, the others have mostly shunned publicity.
  • The U.S. covering up advanced technology? Okay, but this video is from nearly 20 years ago and if we do have this kind of tech, that should be a pretty big story as well as it still seems to defy physics as we currently understand it.

If this was regarding anything else, dismissing all this as just obvious lies would sound like a pretty odd conclusion. So, yeah, I think anyone who just puts their fingers in their ears and shouts "fools" is an absolute fool themself.

A better question is why do you get so defensive when I laugh at some of the political angles. It literally has nothing to do with you.

It's not just Schumer-led BS/hysteria. Even Republicans are saying that a group of Republicans are attempting to block the legislation. I don't get why that's so trivial or unbelievable to you, especially when it's being widely reported, by both sides. Now, sure, those Republicans' reasons for attempting to block the legislation could be different than what Schumer and a journalist or two are claiming, but again, that's up for debate, and the opposite is nothing anyone here is promoting or "falling" for.

Also, it doesn't take an "all-powerful cabal" to keep certain bill provisions from passing, nor would doing so make this a group of "gatekeepers." The two sides are simply haggling over language. The Senate voted and approved their version of the bill. Then the House voted and approved their version of the bill. Now that each version has passed, the Senate and the House - as they do every single year - have begun a formal negotiation process between the two versions. Like, this is extremely basic government sh*t, and again, standard, end-of-year procedure. Arguing over what gets left in and out of any bill happens all the time, and the lawmakers who manage to keep certain things out of certain bills are never labeled as "all-powerful cabals." So why are you suddenly doing so in this instance?

FInally, to answer your "better question": because it's endlessly annoying. Because you seemingly can't post in this thread without whining about politics or using snark to belittle. Again, all indications are that the sheer number of pilots, military officials, and government contractors who have come forward to report what they've seen (and even worked on), since the second half of the '10s, is what caused the Pentagon to eventually HAVE to change their tune. The number of voices became too great, and in turn, the number of officials hearing those voices rose as well, and now here we are. The Pentagon simply couldn't continue to ignore/gaslight, the House and the Senate heard from too many credible individuals, and now everyone is simply trying to get a handle on it all.

Most of DC is for sale. An even larger portion is sensitive to being told, "this is a matter of national security. If you love your country you have to treat this info as Top Secret." These two facts will preclude the government from ever disclosing the full truth. Even if someone in the know goes rogue and tries to disclose, they will quickly be marginalized as a kook and otherwise "discouraged."

If there is a disclosure coming, it won't be from the U.S. government.

I find it funny that those tweets and sources or whatever, keep blaming this cabal of all-powerful republicans for foiling disclosure. The same idiots who can't get literally anything done with a majority are suddenly the gatekeepers to the most powerful secret the world has ever known.

Also, it doesn't take an "all-powerful cabal" to keep certain bill provisions from passing, nor would doing do make this a group of "gatekeepers." The two sides are simply haggling over language. The Senate voted and approved the their version of the bill. Then the House voted and approved their version of the bill. Now that each version has passed, the two chambers - as they do every single year - have begun a formal negotiation process between the two versions.

I really don't understand this quoting of walls of texts, instead of a select line or two. Or, instead, use the reply function so an arrow points back to post being directly responded to.

It makes the thread annoying to read.

Without one poster playing thread police, there would be no walls of text to quote. Just a random thought.

Back to aliens!
