Sounds like an Oppenheimer situation

Does anyone have a recap of whatever happened at (I think it was) Eglin AFB? Gaetz or someone mentioned it in the hearing
2 of the guys gave specifics about their encounters.guadalupeag said:
Until these guys start giving specifics the whole idea that they're saying this under oath is pointless. To commit perjury you have say something under oath that you know is false. Saying "the government" has non earth biologics is far too vague to prove false. Saying you saw something in the sky is the same. Until someone is willing to go on the record with specific accusations this is nothing more than vague statements with little substance.
The "actual details" of both the Tic Tac and Gimbal incidents were provided by the Navy pilots involved, verified tracking video from onboard sensors was released, and the existence of a government task force dedicated to investigating UAP (nee UFO) reports (decades after such efforts were supposedly shut down) were all investigated and reported in the New York Times in 2017 by Leslie Kean and Ralph Blumenthal.guadalupeag said:
None of which could be proven true or false, which is why it's pointless they said it under oath. True disclosure would involve actual details that continue to move the discovery forward. Until someone comes forward with verifiable statements this is the same song and dance we have seen plenty of times before.
This. They were very specific about the details.redline248 said:2 of the guys gave specifics about their encounters.guadalupeag said:

i wish it were aliens
but it's not aliens
it's just the ol' engineered panic, an attractive nuisance ensuring natsec reporters get assigned to investigate balloon bullshit rather than budgets or bombings (à la nordstream)
until next time

Gotta love it when this dude randomly pops his head up. Thanks Edward, I'll go back to my regularly scheduled program now.
In 1989, Bob Lazar claimed to have worked on reverse engineering a retrieved UFO, allegedly extraterrestrial in origin, at a secret facility in Nevada - a claim that has been the subject of much controversy ever since. His reaction to this week’s hearing:

The problem is secrecy/obfuscation is the best move for our military/spook community, no matter what the truth is.
If we have alien tech, it's best to keep it under wraps
If we don't have alien tech, its best to let our enemies wonder if we do.
I still don't know what this undeclared truth is supposed to be.TCTTS said:
Except too many people now know the truth. Or at least a good chunk of the truth. Between the whistleblowers, the members of the Senate Intelligence Committee they've spoken to, and the members of Congress who are becoming more convinced by the day that something nefarious is going on, there's no putting the toothpaste back into the tube. This process is only going to continue to snowball. The coverup worked when only those keeping the secret knew about it, and had absolute control over the secret getting out. But a number of officials outside of the circle now know, literally, where the bodies are buried, and that number is only going to continue to grow. Thus more and more pressure is going to be applied, and eventually the damn will break, against the will of those guarding the secret.
