Yeah, up until this point, for the past however many months/years, Grusch has apparently been the victim of numerous threats and intimidation efforts - efforts that have been confirmed by multiple sources, but efforts that were private in nature. In other words, no public smear campaign or anything like that.
So then the initial assumption here, in this instance, was that Klippenstein and even perhaps The Intercept were in cahoots with a non-disclosure sect of the government, and that this was now a coordinated effort to try and take Grusch down a peg or two in public, in the wake of the hearing.
And while an aspect of that is true, it seems that Klippenstein really is just some dopey stooge journalist who merely asked for intel on Grusch on social media. But again, that's ultimately irrelevant, since this whole thing still confirms, on the record now, that yeah, certain folks in DoD and the intelligence community are against Grusch, and they simply saw an opportunity to slide Klippenstein some dirt.
Which is of course now having the unintended effect of making everyone wonder, if Grusch is somehow lying, why would a certain sect of the government be trying to discredit him?

What explanation do they give for the MH370 debris that washed ashore in Africa?
According to the Netflix doc, the biggest part that washed up ultimately didn't have a serial number where the serial number is supposed to be. And the only versions of those parts that don't have serial numbers are from scrapyards, where the serial numbers are removed. Also, the main guy who found some of those pieces seems incredibly suspect, to the point where it's heavily insinuated that what few pieces have been "found" could have been planted and then "discovered."
I highly recommend watching the doc. It's only three episodes, and each one dives into a different theory without getting too wacky or conspiratorial. It basically presents each theory, but then pokes holes in all three, ultimately leaving a giant question mark hanging over the incident.

Marine life that was on the equipment wasn't old enough or the right type to be on it either.
The primary researcher is the interviewee I linked to. He's keeping it very scientific. I think it's close to solved, and the pilot's below the surface insanity is the key.
Who are they saying filmed that thermal footage? It appears to be ground based. Is it supposed to be from a ship or fishing boat or govt vessel or what and where geographically on earth was it supposedly taken?
