I have seldom rooted for anything to happen more than him shooting that ***** ass Imp who let Mayday die.
I don't know if it was just me, but I like that I wasn't 100% sure he was going to do it until he said "lieutenant"
I thought they would back off because it's a kids' show, so I was really stoked when he pulled the trigger. Oddly, I was thinking to myself during the initial scenes where he gets on board the ship, "I wonder if the Empire knows how close he is to just going crazy and killing a bunch of people?"

I loved how they stripped away all of his arguments for staying loyal to the empire. Mayday repeating his line sof "we were good soldiers, we followed orders." Realizing that the Empire had been hoarding the equipment for its new stormtroopers instead of letting the clones utilize it, the a-hole Lieutentant saying he didn't like "using old equipment" and no one, stormtroopers included, helping them when they came limping back to base.

If it wasn't a kids' show, I'd love to have a different plot line where Crosshair goes rogue and tries to kill the Emperor.

I'm watching S1 now. Its not a kids show. I am not sure Rebels was and I know Bad Batch isnt. I just watched Crosshair kill and order the killing of civilians including some being burned alive. Thats not a kids cartoon.

It definitely pushes the limit, at least. On the other hand, though, the rest of the batch do their very best to not kill anyone for most of the show.

but yeah, Crosshair going out on his own and carrying out a personal war against the Empire could be pretty fun.

IT's officially rated TV-PG and one of the main characters is a kid. I agree that the best episodes are not kid-friendly, but most of the episodes are Omega learns a lesson.

I mean it's not a little kids show? It's certainly not adult-themed.

That was incredible.

And now we have our avenue for getting the whole band back together when Omega gets captured and taken to Tantiss, where Crosshair is as well.

Liked the subtle nod to All Quiet on the Western Front with Crosshair's little smile there at the end as he passed out.

That was awesome!! Loved how they wrote this to have Crosshair "see the light" for the empire….could go so many directions from here so looking forward to these next 4 episodes!

Also….even though there's 4 episodes left it's only 3 more weeks…..last 2 episodes drop the same day on March 29th

It was fine. They are done with Syd and attempting to find a home. Not sure what will happen next, unless the Empire shows up on that planet.

I actually found this episode to be quite understated and the sort of thing that the show needed. A glimpse into what life could be like, particularly for Omega. Giving them a new home and people to care about is what will ramp up the moral choices to make when they hear about Mount Tantiss or encounter Crosshair again.

I'm betting Syd tracks them down through Phee and rats them out.

How about Syd arrives and is about to press her com to call down the Empire on them when Cross hair puts 2 in the back of her head from 500 m away?

you got a point I think the big issue though is that the last 2 episodes were HUGE and obviously building towards something…..and then we get an episode with the a-team and a big wave…..

*womp womp*

Odds are though this'll tie in big time to the finale as well as the next season….

I do give them props though as I didn't find Wanda Stykes character annoying in this episode

I thought the exact same thing about Wanda Sykes. Her character had some surprising depth.

I think you had to have an episode like this to introduce the BB into a thought process that there's more to life than just fighting, running missions, and scraping by. Their skills are great for combat, but Wrecker and Tech in particular have abilities that would be welcome by any small village or town in the galaxy. I'm a bit surprised that Hunter suggested they stay, other than him realizing the others all want to be there for more than a pit stop. Without mixing with real earnest people, they're just mercenaries occasionally looking out for clone justice, but mostly just doing side quests for credits.

The real question is what their end game is going to be. Where do they wind up and what do they do?

I was wondering if they end up leaving their new, peaceful, waterlogged home to go rescue Crosshair.

I've never watched Clone Wars. But this weekend, while waiting for the next Bad Batch to come out, I watched the last season of Clone Wars. I have to say, that was pretty fun TV. It also helped round out my understanding of some storylines in the Bad Batch.

Any other specific seasons/episodes ya'll recommend watching from either Clone Wars or Rebels?

Disney + at one point had a summary of all the most relevant clone wars episodes and I think it equaled about 15-20 in total. If you can find that it'd be awesome but honestly the whole show is great as is rebels….

I made a really long list for Clone Wars, then scaled it back to the really important stuff.

Introduction of Mandalore and Duchess Satine Kryze, Bo Katan's sister
S2E12: The Mandalore Plot
S2E13: Voyage of Temptation
S2E14: Duchess of Mandalore

Huge tonal shift for the series with a Jedi tapping into the Dark Side confronted by his clones
S4E07: Darkness on Umbara
S4E08: The General
S4E09: Plan of Dissent
S4E10: Carnage of Krell

Death Watch / Maul / Mandalore / Dark Saber
S5E01: Revival
S5E14: Eminence
S5E15: Shades of Reason
S5E16: The Lawless

Ahsoka is falsely accused of a crime and makers her decision to leave the Jedi Order
S5E17: Sabotage
S5E18: The Jedi Who Knew Too Much
S5E19: To Catch a Jedi
S5E20: The Wrong Jedi

Maybe the most pivotal part of Clone Wars, a trooper goes nuts and attacks a Jedi and several clones try to figure out what the deal with Order 66 is
S6E01: The Unknown
S6E02: Conspiracy
S6E03: Fugitive
S6E04: Orders

I think you should watch all of Rebels, but if you had to narrow it down to 10-15 episodes, I'd say

S1E01-02: Spark of the Rebellion - Series premiere
S1E15: Fire Across the Galaxy - Throwdown with the Grand Inquisitor / Return of Ahsoka Tano / Vader
S2E03: The Lost Commanders - the return of Rex
S2E13: The Protector of Concord Dawn - introduces Fenn Rau and the Mandalorian Protectors
S2E18: Shroud of Darkness - Yoda cameo and one of my favorite Kanan episodes
S2E21-22: Twilight of the Apprentice Part 1 and 2: Maul, Inquisitors, Holocrons, Vader, Ahsoka
S3E01-02: Steps into Shadow Part 1 and 2 - THRAWN
S3E15: Trials of the Darksaber - nuff said
S3E16: Legacy of Mandalore - nuff said
S3E18: Secret Cargo - the Rebels rescue Mon Mothma and she openly declares the formation of the Rebel Alliance
S3E20: Ezra (and Maul) track Obi-Wan to Tatooine
S4E1-2: Heroes of Mandalore Parts 1-2; Resolution of Darksaber and Bo-Katan plots
S4E13: A World between Worlds: Ezra and Ahoska vs. Palpatine
S4E15-16: Series finale, scenes that look like they'll be replicated in the live-action Ahsoka, Ezra captured by Thrawn and tempted by Sidious himself.

Awesome - much appreciated! I tried to get into Rebels but only committed to a couple of episodes. I'll probably circle back soon.

I personally was surprised to enjoy most of clone wars, and really liked the last season and probably 15-20 other episodes. Some of it got as deep and dark as revenge of the sith, only did it better in many ways.

I then watched rebels and didnt enjoy it nearly as much. For me, it had more of a 'weekday afternoon kid's cartoon' vibe, which is ok but not as much for me. I'd say there were probably about 10 episodes that were good and added real meat to the story. It was still mostly decent.

From that Season 4 set of episods where the Jedi General goes dark, Clone Wars really dials it up to an 11, and cuts out a bunch of the Jar Jar and droids BS to focus on the looming uneasiness of how things aren't really adding up with what's going on in the CLone Wars. I didn't watch it all as it was happening because of real-life stuff, but the Clone stuff is phenomenal and there are some real plunges into darkness by Anakin as well.

Rebels isn't as good if you haven't seen Clone Wars, and early on there are some definite "let's bring in X" episodes- one with Chewie, one with the droids, one with Leia, one with Wedge, and so on. However once they bring Ahsoka in, and then Vader, Tarkin, Thrawn, etc, you're really getting some meat on the bone of the early years of the Rebellion that are really beautifully done. Maul coming back over and over kinda dulls that edge, but eventually Obi-Wan kills his dumb ass (again) and it's a good payoff.

The final 3 or 4 episodes of Rebels are really well done IMO.

Rebels was more of a cohesive story with less filler than Clone Wars, but now that they're both on streaming, you can distill them both down to some really good, tight character arcs.

Funny you should mention. I was literally just now talking with a co-worker who offices down the hall and is a big star wars fan. I was having this exact conversation with him about Clone Wars and Rebels and he goes "and there is this other show called 'Resistance' . . . but it's trash."

Resistance is definitely a kids show set in the Star Wars universe, where rebels and clone wars are Star Wars shows that are animated, but not strictly aimed at kids.

I really wanted to like Resistance because it was finally Donald Faison getting a Star Wars role, but even I gave up after 2 episodes, the first step in my now mantra - if it sucks, I'm going to stop watching instead of watching and complaining.
