Still holding out hope this season ends with an epic multi-episode arc.

They're trying to not attract attention by using the same ship, wearing the same armor, and going to Coruscant?

The don't use the ship and go out unless they're on a mission for money. Working as mercs or bodyguards means they're out in the open, and people talk. A bunch of obvious ex-clone troopers is going to draw some attention someday.

They went to Coruscant because the empire thinks they're dead and wouldn't be looking for them in the heart of the empire. Keep a low profile and you're fine.

Let's not forget that they've colored their armor as a disguise.

Use the money for a new ship and new armor. Nobody is going to mistake them for runaway clones because they look absolutely nothing alike. Then they can do whatever they want. It's just bordering on dumb writing to keep them in the same ship and the same gear.

How has S2 been compared to S1?

so far I'd have to say S1>S2

But there's still time to turn it around

I made it halfway through S1 before my D+ expired. I was enjoying it for the most part

I agree S1 was better, so far. We'll probably pick up steam soon, though. I hope, anyway.

This can't be a serious criticism. I know you know how animation works.

Plus consistency in "costume" and the like is a pretty fundamental element of the genre.

The episodes about Rex and Crosshair and Cody have been fascinating, which is kind of lousy as those are the ones that the Batch isn't in that much or at all.

The series premiere that started with Depa Bilapa and young Kanaan and the 2-part finale on Kamino last year were fantastic.

Can't believe the ridiculous commie propaganda in this last episode

On a more serious note, yeah, I basically only keep watching for the Rex/Cody appearances. Hopefully the plot lines around those guys and the Batch converge as we get closer to the end of the season.

There is a somewhat interesting argument that could be made that in the aftermath of the clone wars, clone armor is cheap and easily acquirable through military salvage. I could imagine a lot of "clone surplus" stores cropping up. Particularly because the galaxy is large and seedy, and I've no doubt that there were lots of old battlefields to pick up drone parts/clone armor/weapons from as a result of the conflict.

With that in mind, maybe the clone armor isn't as much of a giveaway as it once was.

But I do agree generally that they should get new armor. The ship is a bigger giveaway imo. I can't remember if they did some in-universe explanation a la putting in new transponder codes on the Roci in the Expanse.
AliasMan02

The in universe explanation is they change up their transponder all the time, and there are lots of all these ship makes, but off screen. Just like the VCX-100 Ghost and the YT-1300 Millennium Falcon. Probably less of the modified Omicron class attack shuttle than those transports, but the same narrative principle.

Same with droids. The Galaxy is full of R2 astromechs identical to R2-D2, but we never see them for narrative purposes.

the last few episodes are VERY good....especially the 2nd to last episode....had an ending that no one saw coming and closed a huge chapter from the prequel series

Oooo... fun episode. Big time Aliens vibes and some cool plot movement (even if it was just more ground work for later episodes).

One of the best episodes of the year! And finally it looks like the Batch has their motivation - shut down whatever's going on at Mt. Tantiss.

Loved them bringing back the Zillo Beast, loved that the Empire had developed a weapon to neutralize it since the time it attacked Coruscant, loved what a huge DICK Lama Su was to the Imp scientist at Mt Tantiss.

Watching Star Wars at both 2 am and 8 am is exactly the type of life I imagined for myself as an adult back when I was a kid.

How does the stun setting on blasters work anyway? Armor apparently doesn't stop it? Does it work on all beings?

Stun in Star Wars is like the flamethrower in the Jango Fett PS2 game. You are 1000000% unstoppable with it.

We went and watched the first one right after BB. Just fun. That Anakin and that world were great. Plus the theme song is fantastic.

Yeah went back and watched S2 E18 and 19 that had the Zillow beast in it. Glad we did. Was a lot of fun and if I recall the first time we see Palps doing stuff with a visual cue that he's a baddie…….obviously we already knew that and they played it cool for the first season and most of season 2 but when he flys away after giving the scientist her new orders to clone the Zillow beast, he gives this evil smirk as the ship flys away.

Glad we rewatched that

My son wanted to start watching the series so of course we had to go back and watch the four episodes from the final Clone Wars season first. It was cool to see again how the team was introduced. I'd forgotten how close Echo and Rex were, so that helped me put some pieces back together as far as Echo's leaving CF99 this season. Also, they've tamed Wrecker down sooooo much since those early episodes. He was 110% Wooooo! guy and I'm glad they've backed that off a bit.

Today's Bad Batch is a masterpiece of animation, story telling, character development, and has I'd say a top 5 climax to a Star Wars animation. PHENOMENAL EPISODE, PHENOMENAL CROSSHAIR. MUST WATCH.

Dr. Emerie Karr, assistant to Dr. Hemlock, who is now the head of stuff at Mt. Tantiss. Which means that since Lama Su told Hemlock the key to getting Taun We's cooperation is to get Omega, and since they know Crosshair was part of the Batch that stole Omega, they're probably going to tell him to track her down, which is gonna be great.

I have seldom rooted for anything to happen more than him shooting that ***** ass Imp who let Mayday die.

Oooh, I hadn't considered that possibility. I had thought we might be seeing Echo/Rex find out that Crosshair had been imprisoned and telling the Batch, who decide to mount a rescue operation. "He's still one of us" and the whole "you still came after everything I did?" tropes.

Great episode.

I don't know if it was just me, but I like that I wasn't 100% sure he was going to do it until he said "lieutenant"
