He's the step dad iirc

Perhaps the most despicable person we meet in Season 2, Lee Lane (Bob Odenkirk) is also not a blood relative of the Berzattos but is seen as part of the family as an on-again off-again boyfriend of Donna's. He's the kind of person who likes to feel superior by talking down to people and stealing their thunder when they're having fun. This is what leads to his big fight with Mikey at the Christmas table, repeatedly saying he's "nothing" and talking about his substance abuse. What's worse, he kept Mikey close after five years, because he's identified as one of the people who loaned Mikey part of the money Carmy finds in the tomato cans at the end of Season 1 with the inscription "KBL". As Cicero explains in Episode 1 of Season 2: "Kalinowski, me. Berzatto, you. Lane, Lee."
100%!!! Richie and Carmen were seperating the 2 parties when Carmen(?) took a right hook to the face and Richie then knocked that guy out! Like, Richie was clearly protecting his friend and restaurant.gigemJTH12 said:
agree! thought the same thing. also im pretty sure youre able to reprimand someone who is breaking sh** in your business. Wasnt the guy trashing the place?
If it's amongst the patrons sure, but I've seen bouncers tune up an unruly drunk person and the cops basically shake their hands. Richie is sober and an employee of the bar that he was attempting to stop a literal BRAWL.powerbelly said:
Every bar fight I have seen that ends with cops always had both parties arrested.

Even if i granted you that (which I still disagree with), there's 0 shot 'manslaughter' is on the table for what is an open and shut self defense situation. A dozen witnesses to corroborate who was the aggressor, blood alcohol test to show Richie was sober while the other dude was drunk, etc. It was just ridiculous to me that 'aggravated assault' was the default outcome and pissed me off on behalf of Richie haha.powerbelly said:M.C. You almost kill a guy you are going to jail. Especially since there is a clear "class" distinction between Richie and the guys who were fighting.
i took it to be nerves with all the craziness going onmavsfan4ever said:
Why was Sydney throwing up after dinner service at the end of the last episode? It seemed like it started after she took a drink of something in the kitchen. It was it just from nerves or something?
Loved the show.
just finished the binge and can't get this show out of my head. Then I blasted through this thread and got my validation that I'm not alone. All time great show.TCTTS said:
The only thing that sucks about this sequence is that I'm afraid I'm going to be the chasing the high I felt in this moment for years to come. At the risk of hyperbole, the more time has passed, the more it's become one of my favorite moments from any series or movie ever…I don’t think I’ve ever rooted for a character more than I rooted for Richie in the “Forks” episode of “The Bear”. pic.twitter.com/hGHnx1Ywaa

Just finished the last six episodes of Season 2, this past week. As great as this show was, I had to pause after the "Fishes" episode. Some of the best acting I have seen, ever but damn I felt like I needed a visit to the therapist.. And then to bring mom back in the last episode, it was just perfect.
