BTW, did the live FX version throw the F-bomb? I didn't think FX allowed that.
I think that taboo on basic cable is gone. Noticed it on "Yellowstone" and some FX series when I still had cable. Same with boobs.aTmAg said:

Damn, I'm kind of glad they are only releasing it in weekly installments. I would stay up all night to binge it were all the episodes available.

2 complaints:
1) No way would that chick be interested in such an an old geezer
2) No way could such an old geezer kick that much ass hand-to-hand.
But still entertaining.

Amy Brenneman will be 58 tomorrow. They might as well be a year or two apart in college for all that age difference matters.
I think it was him going through the consequences in his mind. He realized that by shooting them, there was no way to avoid shooting her. So he chose to not do any of it. And BTW, sticking with her was sort of a mistake on his part, since that is how they apparently got their next step in tracking him down.Prosperdick said:
The dude definitely does not abide. Man, what a great pair of episodes.
Boy did they do a great job of finding young actors to portray Lithgow and Bridges (especially Lithgow). A lot of times when shows portray younger versions it takes you out of the moment.
My only issue is with the second episode where they get pulled over and they do the tired trick of OMG he just shot them and her!!! It's cheap and they don't need to resort to that. I know they were trying to show what was going through his mind but maybe stop it after the two cops or just use a different technique rather than what amounts to a jump scare.
I get why they did it...I'm just saying it's a cliche way of showing it. Bridges is a great actor...let his face emote what's going on is his head and let audience follow along rather than go for the flash of "we just killed off the 3rd headliner of this series!!! Ha ha...psyche!!!aTmAg said:I think it was him going through the consequences in his mind. He realized that by shooting them, there was no way to avoid shooting her. So he chose to not do any of it. The girl working for Harold is Chase's daughter, right? It seems so obvious that I'm surprised they haven't revealed it yet.
I sorta hope not. That reveal would be too predictable at this point.Apache said:
Has to be. Will set up an interesting dynamic ala "The Departed"....the daughter being hunted as a mole within the department & Bridge's character being hunted on the outside.
I kind of wondered that myself. They sure nailed the look of a younger Lithgow with the actor they hired. Not quite as good with the younger Jeff Daniels. I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention, but it took me a bit to realize the diner scene was a flashback.jeffk said:
Did the actor who played past Lithgow do his own dialogue or did they get Lithgow himself to record that and then dub it? Because it sounds almost too perfect.
I think that's the reason for the grudge.Madmarttigan said:
I didn't think about that possibly being his daughter I figure his wife was either the warlords daughter or wife though and he stole her away and that is the reason for the grudge.
He mentions he knew she was the one even though it was complicated and he had to wait. Also the wife had an accent in the dinner scene.SidsBurnerAccount said:I think that's the reason for the grudge.Madmarttigan said:
