I like Prime's integration with IMDB, but yea the entire UI needs a refresh badly.

IMDB is weak on the summary of this regarding age appropriate etc. How gritty, intense does this get and can I watch with kids passing though?

There's a decent amount of fighting/blood/language. In general, it's a fairly intense/serious show. But so far no outright gore or nudity or anything like that.

The cinematography and scenery is indeed great. But I kept looking at the scenery and thinking it looks a lot more like New Mexico than Wyoming. I told my wife, "I'd swear this was filmed near Santa Fe if it weren't for the obvious Teton mountains in the background."

So I checked, and the outdoor scenes are being filmed in New Mexico; areas around Bernadillo and Santa Fe. Now I am wondering if they just photo-shopped the Tetons into the background.
I take it you've watched Longmire?

A guy beats his neighbor to death with his bare hands and there is a fairly graphic discussion about pornography but no mensuration talk.

Well of course, there's no need to be gross.

I'd say it's mature in the traditional sense of the word. Not graphic or offputting, but probably more intended for adults than for kids to learn about rural life.

Not familiar enough with your posting style to know for sure if you missed the joke or are in on it.

Well, I was planning on just watching episode 3 and saving the 4th for the weekend, but I had to continue after that ending.

The funeral scene was nuts. Great game of poker, too.

The music, scoring, and sound effects are perfect. Everyone should be watching this with something beyond just standard tv speakers.

WTF is going on?

The town scenes are Las Vegas, New Mexico - same town Brolin in No Country For Old Men was filmed (and Red Dawn!). Yes, the Tetons were digitally inserted.

I thought she might be his sister. But then she would have to be older. So maybe his sisters daughter.

The hole is a time portal it appears. So the bison is from the past. Ran in the hole bc it was being hunted.

After watching episode 3, my earlier comment about photo-shopping mountains seems rather prescient.

When they are playing cards, the buffalo only appears to Royal…no one else seems to be able to see it. Not sure if it represents the devil, or opportunity, or just that a major shift is about to happen.
If it is just "from the past" then everyone would see it. The father from the Tillerson ranch also seems to worship the buffalo head on his mantle.
I think the buffalo Autumn sees woth arrows is not the same one we see from time to time with ominous music.

The way the father of the evil family wears his hat, pushing his ears out, is distracting.

Watched the first episode with the wife because of this thread. Saw all 4 episodes. We are really enjoying it. Im giving Amazon the benefit of the doubt that it will have a ending that will answer most of the questions we all have but leave some suspense to hype us up for season two. My theory is that Autumn is Royals little sister that he briefly mentioned to his son. How? Its got something to do with the whole time warp hole. Me and my wife are still debating if Royals wife really did see Rebecca (the missing daughter in law) in the city. I'm saying yes.

If a streaming platform could have existed in 2005, Amazon is exactly what it would have felt like. It's so damn sh*tty and archaic looking. They can't even manage to use high-quality images for the poster art/icons, which seems like the easiest thing ever.

That said, at least they have 4K video, something even HBO Max doesn't have for its series, and I do like the actor info in any given scene when you pause it.
you clearly haven't used AppleTV on a computer. Damn site doesn't even have a search bar. I click on the latest Severance episode and it freezes on a black screen and I have to reset the page to get it started.
