Do we know how long Walter was in hiding in New Hampshire before he came back to ABQ? I guess it's possible but it would seem kinda cheesy for me for him to show up there now.

I think the writers are trying to lead people on, then try and go in the least predictable direction.

So finally watched and you all have said it all already.

One thing I can't figure out - so Lalo pops Howard because.... he's a witness to him being there? OK, but why was he there at that time? He had to know Howard had gone in before him. Seems it just would have been simpler to let Howard leave before going in and then he wouldn't be faced with HAVING to kill him.

I can't believe Lalo wandered in and was like "oh geez this guy is here I guess I have to kill him". Seems gratuitous.

I thought about the motivation factor. Perhaps that's it. Did he even know who Howard was?

He could have killed Werner's wife just as easily, but instead endangered himself to avoid detection. I think the "gee he's just mean" is a bit too trite for this show. There has to be a reason.

He could be in hiding gathering reconnaissance and figures why not take him out and put Kim and Saul on their heels so he gets truthful answers from them. They'll be in shock and less likely to be dishonest.

Lalo is evil, but not so evil that he doesn't kill without reason. That's Tuco.
