Not sure if this has already been covered, but where does Gene/Saul get the diamonds that were stashed in his closet in Omaha ? I don't recall seeing them in BB.
Probably converted his money to diamonds at some point. Quick way to launder illegal money and it makes the money more portable than Walt's blue barrel full of cash.

It's cute that you think Lalo gives two ****s about whacking someone.
Yep, for the setup, for the music, for the job being done. Throw in the truck honking motion that we all did as kids. Hard to beat this.Stat Monitor Repairman said:

Only cared to the extent that it was one more thing to cover up. He would have had one less thing to deal with had he waited about 2 minutes.Know Your Enemy said:

I thought about the motivation factor. Perhaps that's it. Did he even know who Howard was?DannyDuberstein said:
He gives zero ficks and what better way to scare Jimmy and Kim into talking than blow someone's brains out right in front of them

So finally watched and you all have said it all already.
One thing I can't figure out - so Lalo pops Howard because.... he's a witness to him being there? OK, but why was he there at that time? He had to know Howard had gone in before him. Seems it just would have been simpler to let Howard leave before going in and then he wouldn't be faced with HAVING to kill him.
I can't believe Lalo wandered in and was like "oh geez this guy is here I guess I have to kill him". Seems gratuitous.
Hank didn't kill Leonel, Mike did.utah, get me two said:
Hank has killed all the Salamanca nephews. Tuco, the twins, he kills lalo?
BB starts with Skyler arranging his bacon into a "50" shape for his fiftieth birthday. When he returns from NH and goes to Denny's he arranges his bacon into "52", so the whole sequence of BB covers two years.utah, get me two said:

Lalo is evil, but not so evil that he doesn't kill without reason. That's Tuco.wbt5845 said:I thought about the motivation factor. Perhaps that's it. Did he even know who Howard was?DannyDuberstein said:

He could have killed Werner's wife just as easily, but instead endangered himself to avoid detection. I think the "gee he's just mean" is a bit too trite for this show. There has to be a reason.
Just talking to them menacingly didn't work the last time he tried. Perhaps shooting a "friend" in the head in front of them might make then more conversational. And he can't shoot either of them, since he assumes one or both of them have the knowledge he needs.wbt5845 said:I thought about the motivation factor. Perhaps that's it. Hank was killed in March. Walt returns from NH in Sept. So about 5-6 months
