Good Luck! I took a BB tour when i was in Albuquerque, the lady who owns that house is crazy, and despises all the attention and people that come see the house. she put up a fence around the property because people kept thorwing pizzas on the garage. It barley even looks like the same house anymore...
We went a few years ago and the garage was open and one guy was dressed up like Heisenberg in a trench coat and glasses. House looked the same as in BB. We saw Wendy's motel and the car wash. We were killing time prior to a flight.
I was in ABQ about a month ago for work, so I took a self guided tour of some BB places. Walt's House, Jesse's House, Hank's House, Carwash, Saul's office, Los Pollos Hermanos (Twisters), The Dog House. I also stopped by the Candy Lady to get some blue meth rock candy. They supplied it for the show.

For Walt's House, I can understand the current owner's frustration with fans and it must be a PITA to live there, on the other hand, they shouldn't have bought it if they didn't want to deal with the attention. It looks completely different from how it did on the show and is surrounded by a fence with a bunch of "No Trespassing" and "Respect our Privacy" signs all over it. All of the other places looked pretty much exactly the same, except for name changes on the businesses.
A guy who works for me is from ABQ, and his mother-in-law's house is Gus's house in BB and BCS. They put her up in a hotel for 2 weeks when they filmed scenes there.

Spoiler:

Could be wrong, but I don't think there was a direct plan for Nacho to do anything. Mike was going to follow his lead and prevent him from being tortured. Could have went a few different ways just like Mike said.
I assumed that Mike was in the sniper position mainly to protect Gus in case things went sideways with the Nacho confession and the Salamancas didn't believe that Gus wasn't involved. It would have been funny if the Salamancas had their own sniper in the same position.

Unrelated

But to me it seems obvious that the next Vince Gilligan spinoff should be following Nacho's two GFs around the country trying to stay one step ahead of the cartel in a zany 30 minute comedy for the whole family

Are you really calling someone out - who either owns his own business or has people working under him - for properly categorizing the working relationship he has to someone?

Just watched S2 E10 of BCS. Not sure if previously mentioned in the thread, but Mike stakes out at the same lookout in an attempt to assassinate hector.

Nacho blocks mike's shot and saves hector in front of the house.
4 seasons later, nacho dies in the same spot, hand forced by the Salamancas

The openings get more deterioriated with each season. More grayscale, static, etc. I guess to symbolize the deterioration/downfall of the characters. The final season opening is entirely black & white, blurry, staticy, broken screen, etc.

Yeah, the Season 6 opening looks Badly Broken.

That reminds me, have we talked about the fact that the Kettlemans had Saul's Lady Liberty inflatable at their office?

Quote:

"It is the same Lady Liberty, it sure is," Gilligan said on Better Call Saul Insider. "It is so damn big. This is so weird. I shot this thing, was around it even when I wasn't directing on Breaking Bad. It would be up on the roof of the strip mall. And it didn't seem as big up there. When you're standing at the base of this thing, it's as tall as a telephone pole. It is huge. It's 30 feet tall."

Quote:

"You watch the show from the very beginning, I don't know if we started intentionally doing it, but Jimmy always picked up things from other people," Schnauz said. "He'd always adapt and repeat lines that other people say. It felt right for him to see Lady Liberty and this really obnoxious way to draw in people who were desperate that he adopted this for himself later on. He saw the trap they were setting and felt oh, this'll work for me too."

I think it was Season 1 when Gene pulled out his old VHS collection of Saul commercials to watch. Video tape degrades over time and if watched repeatedly, will start to look like the open of Season 6.

It's the greatest thing ever. To the point where I don't think I could ever go back to central, if only for sports/TV alone. Every time I go back home, games feel so incredibly late to me now. Here, it's...

Saturday College Football
= 9:00 AM
= 12:30 PM (CBS game)
= 4:00 PM
= 5:00 PM (ESPN primetime game)

Sunday NFL Football
= 10:00 AM
= 1:30 PM
= 5:15 PM (NBC game)

NBA Basketball
= 4:00 PM
= 7:00 PM

Primetime Cable TV
= 6:00 PM
= 7:00 PM
= 8:00 PM

Nothing hardly ever go past 9 PM, save for local sports, and you still have the rest of night to do whatever you want. The best is football, though. Wake up, roll out of bed, and football's already starting.

This is and the summertime weather are the only things I miss about California. That I could potentially finish up a Monday Night Football game before 9pm, or that the CFB National Championship would end before midnight was nice.

I always thought it was weird as hell that I'd have to take off early to catch the start of Monday night football.

Somebody floated a theory on r/bcs that Kim was alive during BB running the show in the background and Jimmy was the front man. Anybody see that ****?

What would prevent Kim from being alive during BB?

I'd bet Kim is definitely alive in the Gene timeline. They might even live together.

This would be equivalent to Walt waking up and saying "it was all a dream" at the end of Breaking Bad, in my opinion.

You asked if anything prevented Kim from being alive during Breaking Bad, which is quite different from your allegation that Kim was "running the show" - which do you mean?

I'm not aware of anything literally preventing Kim from being alive or from running the show (Saul Goodman show?) during BB. Saul never says "Kim is dead" or "I wish Kim was in NM" or anything like that. He says his second wife screwed his stepdad, but that can be passed off as a lie to manipulate.

Both Kim and Jimmy end up as lawyers for the cartel.

Jimmy does the dirty work.

Kim communicates with the cartel and manages things on a larger scale,

Compartmentalize a little bit if you are the cartel.

I wouldn't want a single lawyer involved everything.

Or how about this idea.

Mesa Verde gets into financial problems and gets sucked into laundering money for the cartel with Kim running the whole show where shes got all of Mesa Verde corp under her thumb.

She takes pro bono cases to not attract attention to herself.

She gets referred a new probono client and in walks a CGI young Jessie Pinkman

I just don't see a way that it really makes any sense for her to still be involved during the BB timeline, and we never see her or hear her mentioned in any way.

If she was with Saul at the end of BB, she would be in Omaha with him in the Gene timeline. He wouldn't just leave her to fend for herself.

Agree, it would have had to been a package deal. Either dead or gone from ABQ.
