The lack of Emmy recognition for the cast of this show (Odenkirk and Seahorn in particular) is a real shame.

I'm sorry but Squid Game dude getting it over Odenkirk is insane.

I guess the good news is that this Emmy's only took the first half of the final season into account, so they'll get one more shot at it. The voters better freaking have BCS sweep the next Emmys or I have to believe there is a bizarre personal vendetta.

Huh, didn't realize that. I guess it's good they have one more shot, but given how it'll have been over a year since the season aired by the time they vote for next year's Emmys, I'm not super hopeful about it, given their track record.

But I guess we can still hope.

At this point I'm hoping Succession S4 starts airing after next year's cutoff.

Watch it with an open mind. It is not BB, but still an excellent show. There was a lot of viewership at first, but it quickly dropped off when people realized it was a very different kind of show. Their loss.

I would finish BB entirely first.

Just saw Bob is nominated for a SAG award. I think he has a good chance but I thought that with the others award show.
He's nominated with:
Jonathan Banks ("Better Call Saul")
Jason Bateman ("Ozark")
Jeff Bridges ("The Old Man")
Adam Scott ("Severance")

Bob also has a new show coming out on AMC on March 19th.

I think Breaking Bad has the better plot and is overall the better show.

Better Call Saul has the advantage of all that technical expertise and craftsmanship that was developed on BB, so it's better on a technical level. (Cinematography, directing, editing, etc.)

Acting is top tier on both. Bottom line is both are masterpieces and Gilligan/Gould are both geniuses.

Definitely the more entertaining plot and more 'shocking' moments that make things memorable for the audience. BCS was a much slower build up those first few seasons.

But I think BCS edges out BB in terms of character development, particularly with Kim, Nacho, and Howard - who didn't have the advantage of any backstory from BB.

I also felt like it was easier to dislike Walter White because of his personality, even if the audience was drawn to root for him against the other villains. Whereas with BCS, I never stopped having empathy for Jimmy. I was always rooting for him because there was still some good left in him, even at the end. BCS had more heart.

Odenkirk says Vince wrote in that he was supposed to kill Carol Burnett in the last scene but he refused.

Sounds like a bit he was doing to me. Who knows if actually the case.

I think he was probably joking, but if he wasn't, I am glad he won out. While that would have been beyond shocking, it also would have completely redefined the character we loved all those years. He was slippin Jimmy, the mostly lovable (or at least tolerated and understood) scamp. He wasn't ever violent, even if he was fine with violence happening around him.
