Maybe TS was ignorant, geographically, and thought the Chisholm Trail went through Abilene TX.
If the show keeps gaining popularity, I can definitely see them doing another Oregon Trail type prequel.
Perhaps people embarking west towards the California Gold Rush back in 1849? Would that fit the ancestry of anyone else in the Yellowstone show?

Just watched the latest, This show does not pull punches.

That was a great episode. Tim and Faith may be better actors than singers, and that's saying something. Love this show.
Damn. That's all I gotta say about this week's episode.
I was very surprised at how well they are acting. The voice over is like nails on a chalkboard to me though.
I also agree on the Deets comparison. Whether that was intentional or not, they should have stayed away from that.
I was halfway expecting them to be attached by water moccasins while crossing the Brazos.

I'm about to watch it now. They are going to kill Ennis, aren't they? I'm getting that feeling based on y'all's posts. Him or someone else important. But he's the first one to come to mind.
YEP. THIS SUCKS. I mean Ennis was a HUGE part of this show for me. He was such a great character.
By the way, back to analyzing the opening sequence in the first episode. Elsa was wearing a proper dress in that scene. Elsa's been wearing cowboy clothes/pants for a while now. I find it interesting that it reverts back to her wearing proper ladies' dresses.
So it's supposed to be hot but you can see every breath the cowboys and their horses exhale.
