Not really, Yellowstone is the Sopranos and Days of Our lives set in Montana.

1883 is way better

Anyone else having trouble streaming episodes? Everything else on Paramount+ works fine, just 1883 has issues loading. Anyway, we casted it from our phone last night and finally saw #3. Loved the hunting part with John and his son. Remined me of going with my dad when I was that age.

I hate to be that person, but you are so wrong. The voiceover is fantastic. She may be a brat at the beginning of the episode on the train, but I grew genuinely fond of her character as the first episode went on. The point is that Dutton didn't have a son old enough to do and learn the things an son needs to learn, so he showed his daughter how to do those things. My dad did the same thing to my older sister, so I guess I liked it because it was very relatable.


Agreed. Daughter and voice over is fantastic.

Thanks. I thought so, but wasn't 100%. That was in 1883 episode 1 thought right, not on Yellowstone?

We saw the daughter, but we also saw one of the immigrant women. Her brown hooded cape and red hair made her noticeable, so when she showed up later (earlier), I already knew she was being scalped.

I'm enjoying the show. I like how Sheridan is kinda staying away from the unbelievable far fetched string of unfortunate circumstances that follow the Duttons on Yellowstone. He's seemed to mellow that a bit here. That's one reason I lost interest after 2 seasons.

I've always been a fan of Tim McGraw as an actor. He was awesome in Four Christmases as well as The Blind Side.

One thing I'm not a big fan of so far is Thomas. He doesn't add much to the story and seems to be just there. Maybe later on we get more backstory on him but right now he does nothing.

The amount of commercials I'm encountering are ridiculous. I'm a P+ subscriber and streaming from the Paramount+ Amazon fire app. Is everyone else encountering commercial breaks every five minutes? Definitely wasn't like this during the first episode, but episode 2 is almost unwatchable. I loathe commercials with every fiber of my soul and cut the cord almost a decade ago, so I'm not really used to them anymore. Maybe this is normal and I'm just spoiled to commercial free streaming.

I feel your pain. Luckily anything I'm not subscribed to I have other means of getting (in HD, with no commercials). I would be pissed if I was paying for P+ and watching commercials. One reason I don't subscribe to Hulu.

That's my problem, didn't realize I was on a plan with "limited commercials" which was more commercials than I ever experienced on network TV.
