This looks like a movie with an all-star cast, a lot of cameo type actors, and a cool storyline that hasn't been rebooted at this level since the early 2000s.

I fear it will end poorly, as most extinction level event movies tend to do.

Yeah when I saw the trailer in the other thread it just kinda looked like a 2 hour single gag. It's also about the millionth movie about a comet or aliens coming to destroy us. Still will probably watch it, great cast.

I was pretty sure it was gonna be bad just from the trailer. Disappointing since it would be funny to see DiCaprio actually be...funny.

The preachiest movie I've ever seen.

The list of stars is purely so they can virtue signal that they were part of it.

There's a good movie in there that still gets their message across if they would have toned down the message by 90%

I thought this movie was decent for a Netflix movie, but wouldn't pay money to watch it in theaters or see it again. It's a silly movie, kind of dumb, good for a few laughs, perfect for a Sunday night when you're not doing much.

If the all star cast wasn't in it, it wouldn't be worth watching.

Liberal message + theater release means good reviews.

For a week or two to make it eligible for awards. Not a true theatrical release. How many theaters did it make it to exactly? Not enough to announce? Not enough to line the pockets of the interested parties? Nice try though.
