I know people have mentioned it's like Scorsese After Hours movie and being the episode is titled After Hours. It's funny because I saw that movie last year on one of the HBO channels and I can see the correlation.

The episode was written by Goldstein who is a huge film nerd and Scorsese fan. This episode was pretty obviously directly alluding to the movie.

I liked the episode.

Beard has been somewhat of a mystery outside of short conversations. In fact, I really like how the focus was Ted and football the first season and this season has focussed on everyone else. It has been really easy to love all of the other characters after getting more of their story.

This season seems to be about everyone learning how to be better versions of themselves and at core of it I think is peace, love, and joy. I know cliche. But Roy hugging Jamie was the perfect example. And it's a love your enemies example.

There is some very subtle and then not so subtle love your neighbor/biblical Jesus love vibe throughout the show. Not the evangelical hate-love but real love that sacrifices.

Man, that was out there...and I really enjoyed it. I have not seen the Scorsese film mentioned here.

Didn't Beard say Jane moved in with him? Maybe dropping the keys is his subconscious telling him their relationship is no bueno? Or maybe the fact that everyone returned them is symbolic of how he has others to help him out? Maybe it's simply that he wasn't supposed to go home? Another angle is since they didn't work without difficulty and eventually broke is significant? Like the keys signify that he's currently broken in some way and needs to drop some negativity?

Also brilliant when the pub guy called him Prof. McGonagall.

LOVED this episode it's an absolute gem. Loved every single bit, location, person.

The dancing and randomness of the hula hoop was perfect.

HIS PANTS - and not one other coach mentioned them when he came in with coffee.
