Did they change the pronunciation of Jaskier or am I misremembering it?
I knew something was off with Ciri but I just couldn't figure it out.AgLiving06 said:MaroonStain said:
Is it me or are Geralt's eyes more yellow than S1?
We rolled straight from a rewatch of S1 into S2 and his eyes are more yellow and Ciri goes from white/clear eyebrows in the first scene to suddenly having brown eyebrows while she's asleep under the lean in.

I pretty much have to think of this as an alternate universe of the Witcher story. There are so many unnecessary changes in this adaptation it's hard to reconcile

Loving the show and I'm not quite done yet.
I read the books but i have a question. The show brings up a monolith at point point. This part of the show's storyline isn't featured in the books, right? I just want to make sure I'm not going crazy.

Just finished the season. Really enjoyed this season but thought that the mother daughter relationship they were developing with Yenefer and Ciri was going to have more payoff. I'll be interested in seeing where they go for the next season.
I haven't read the books, but yes. With Duny being The White Flame searching for his daughter, perhaps Nilfgaard will meet a similar date as Cintra. The Debt said:jabberwalkie09 said:

If I'm a betting man, the trio is now formed. Geralt, begrudgingly a father by chance/fate, Yen, begrudgingly a mother not of her own loins, Ciri, begrudgingly a daughter due to the slaughter of Cintra by her father, who is testing fate by rejecting the law of surprise

If you enjoyed Witcher 3 and the short stories you should read the rest of the saga, you would probably enjoy them.c-jags said:Thunder18 said:

Here's what's funny, I'm an avid WoT reader and read a couple of the books (the two random ones before the main story) and played a little bit of Witcher 3.
I love Witcher and don't really care about the deviations that I know of.
On the other hand, I'm raging at the deviations with WoT.
Most of that is they're spending purposeful time to make themselves appear diverse whereas Witcher is just telling a story that happens to have a diverse cast.
Thanks.chase128 said:
It was based on the short story "a grain of truth".
thats probably why you are taking issue with one and not the other. i felt similar with GoT as you do with WoT (having read all the SoIAF books multiple times thru) yet dont feel so strongly about WoT since I have only read the first 6 or 7 books (maybe i'll feel differently once i complete the series perhaps). But as only a casual fan of WoT, and The Witcher (read the first 3 books maybe and never played any of the games), the deviations and changes on tv dont bother me for the most part. i think when you are an avid fan of a particular book series, any changes made in the tv adaptation are more intrusive and offensive.c-jags said:Thunder18 said:

That sucks. Typical though. Lure you in with naughty first season and then it goes away once the actor becomes semi-known.redline248 said:

I'm looking forward to this season, though I don't like when the cast is changed.

I kept thinking "his voice sounds so familiar" but still didn't recognize him without the beard once he transformed.wangus12 said:
