A former Aggie commit will be making his return home as Coen Echols has just announced his intentions to transfer to Texas A&M.
As versatile as they come, Echols has experience across all positions along the offensive line, dating back to his time with the Katy Tigers. If you’ve been following recruiting on this site for a while, you know that Echols is no stranger to Aggieland and even almost stuck with his commitment shortly after head coach Mike Elko was hired.
Since he started his collegiate career in Baton Rouge, Echols has garnered some very valuable experience, appearing in 18 total games and starting in eight of them. As a redshirt freshman in 2025, he will have three years of eligibility and potential to be an instant impact player, given the amount of talent the Aggies will have to replace up front.
Standing at 6-foot-4 and 315 pounds, expect Echols to feature on the interior of the line and be a stout addition coming from an inter-conference rival.
Stay tuned. We will have more coming on this addition for our TexAgs Premium subscribers.
