A couple of questions…

1. Are the less than $100 Nike Court Vision shoes really that different to Jordan 1's in quality and comfort? I wore some court visions on a weekend trip. Worst sneakers I've ever walked around in. Terrible for hiking through an airport.

2. Has anyone used Sneakers on Deck to buy? They have a decent deal on some shoes I've been wanting.

(1) Jordans are not really known for being comfortable. It's old tech compared to what you get out of a modern sneaker. I think they can be made better with a new insole if you plan to wear them out, but they are pretty much style over substance. I wouldn't pick Jordans for a ton of walking, though. I've never worn court visions, so I can't speak to the comparison. I'm not sure what the construction is, but Nike advertises the hell out of any pair with an air unit, and I don't see that listed on any court vision pairs. My first take seeing them was that they are a pair meant to be similar to the AF1s that are easier on the pocketbook, so probably cheaper materials/construction.

(2) Unfamiliar with this source, but the prices don't scream "scam" to me. Plus they take Amex and Pay Pal, which most scammers wont because of how easy it is to reverse the transaction. I've never heard of it so YMMV.

So i don't know how much yall buy on adidas, but if you have wasted enough money on sneakers to secure "icon" status, they just sent out some coupons that expire here in a bit. I got one for 30% off, and two for 20% off.

Secondly, they just did a restock, including sizes on the aggie-themed UB21s. I had the opportunity to look at these in person recently, and they are very solid.



Anyway, if you waste a lot of money on adidas, you might be able to get a good deal wasting some more. These are normally $180 and about $192 out the door after tax. Thanks to my 30% off coupon, they are headed my way for $135, which is a pretty rock solid deal.

It looks like 2 pairs of the armory navy were ordered because there was a network error and I resubmitted the order. Size 13. If someone wants them and isn't able to get them they are yours for cost unless nike cancels it on their own.
