Is the base over the toe really cool grey? Because the pic you took looks blueish to me (which looks even better tbh).

I believe they are all the same grey, but they are all different materials so it's a little different.

The part nearest the midsole (the "mudguard") is standard grey leather.

The next part up runs around the toe and through the swoosh (the "overlay") is some kind of grey faux microsuade.

The toe box itself, tongue, and rear collar (the "base") is a shiny, reflective grey nylon weave.

The part around the airbag (the "midsole wedge") is a grey plastic. That's the same as the part where the laces side/back logo are.

The inner lining is grey felt. Airbag is grey too.

All of these are so-called "smoke grey".

curious if y'all actually wear all of these exotics that are posted on this thread. these carolina blues look really cool in the picture above but i saw a dude wearing them at the rangers game last night and they looked like absolute clown shoes. it didn't help that he was late 30s like myself, haha.

maybe i just couldn't pull them off.

Ha, yeah I wear all of mine, but I don't have any nearly as "loud" as those. I also don't tuck my jeans into the tongue, which I know is sacrilege among the sneakerheads. I lean to the AJ1s mostly because the profile lets even loud color blocking look decent.

I wear them all.

The only pair that I never wore was the Off-White AJ1 UNCs. I sold those for a nice profit.

I saw a guy at the Byron Nelson last weekend wearing them and they looked pretty sweet

I definitely couldn't pull them off, but wouldn't stop me from wearing them if I had them

There are a lot of shoes that I love the idea of, but I'm not going to wear for that very reason. A lot of times I look at them almost like pieces of art. I may love the concept and I can appreciate them from a pure creative level, but I know I would look ridiculous wearing them.

Honestly, it's all about confidence and your style. I have a sneakerhead buddy in his mid 30's with an insane collection. And he can pretty much pull them all off. I tell him all the time when he shows me something new - "Man I love those but I could NEVER wear them." But he usually does pretty well somehow.

Those 4's fall into that category for me. I think they are amazing and love them, but I don't think I could pull them off. The University Blue 1's I just bought on Stockx however I'm not worried about.

So these aren't for everyone, but man I want them. Jurassic Park is my favorite movie, so I can't see myself ever wearing them, but they look so awesome to me!
