So, I ran by Fuller's yesterday to buy some strings and ended up playing some of those Custom Shop strats. They have a newer one Journeyman Relic in white that was very nice.
Got me really wanting a Custom Shop Strat. So I'm posting my Dave's Guitar Shop thin skin and American Original 60's Strats on Reverb, and will also try to sell my 2011 65th anniversary Tele on reverb as well. I don't need 2 strats, and really want one nice Strat. Also, that Tele was one I bought to put a bigsby on, before realizing it wasn't the same specs as a vintage tele, which threw that all out the window. I never play it, so might as well sell it.
For me and guitars, if I haven't picked a guitar in over 2 months, I should probably sell it and get something I will play.
While browsing Reverb, found a good deal on a '60 CS Strat in 3-tone sunburst with a journeyman relic. They had it listed at $2,999 but accepted my offer of $2,750. I'm thinking I can get around $3,600 for both of my strats, and trying to get $800-$1,000 for my tele.
Obviously, every guitar is unique and there is always risk in buying guitars online. If this Strat I just bought doesn't quite meet my expectations, I can always just look for another and flip this one. Though I really liked the Strat at Fuller's, I just can't get myself to fork out the cash for a brand new Custom Shop guitar. I could get it for $4,350 at the highest, though may be able to talk down a little. That's just so much money for a Strat, though it felt/played great, and had a beautiful dark rosewood fretboard. If anyone is running by Fuller's go check it out:
