That wasn't a trailer it was a tease of the season to come. No way you keep it a secret that he's not in it. Too many ways to know the cast of a show these days. The Internet knew Han Solo was in TROS within 2 days of him filming his scene 18 months before the movie came out.

One of the things I continue to appreciate about this show is the attention to detail of the time period.

This season we get to see the video store concept, and (it appears) the Walkman. Last season with the shopping mall, etc.

It really adds to the fun of the series. I enjoy seeing all those 80's easter eggs.

He's clearly alive in the post credits scene that takes place in Russia at end of S3. I just finished S3 about two weeks ago.

This isn't shocking to me at all.
