I hate how the show has just completely doubled down on the Danny/Karen storyline.

Show would be way better without that storyline

I thought so too but now seems to be taking a dark turn. Could be adding a bit of a horror edge if he fully loses it like his dad but goes violent.
I think one of the more subtle themes of the show is that certain events are inevitable on a macro scale. The US was not ready to accept "coming out of the closet" announcements then, and it wouldn't have mattered in the slightest even if the President and First Guy were homosexual.StringerBell said:
Tried a bit too hard to shoe in dont ask don't tell to make it timely to what was going on in the country at the time
My opinion of Ed as a commander has taken a nosedive from the first season. His judgment is often shockingly bad, and the writers are making it get worse.StringerBell said:
Yeah this is gonna lead to a confrontation between Danny and Ed on Mars

Boy that escalated quickly
also a good twist, very dark for this show, but would have been interestingAustinAg2012 said:
Or, Ed kills Danny in a fit of rage after the impending Karen confession. Ed survives the avalanche and tells the rescuers/remaining crew that Danny died hours ago. Ed lives with his guilt knowing what really happened to Danny.
So are we to assume that the Norks marooned him deliberately? If there was a Nork transfer ship in orbit, wouldn't it have been spotted by now? How did North Korea finance a mission that is bankrupting Helios and straining the US federal budget? This seems sillier than normal.BenTheGoodAg said:
Thinking back I guess the show did leave some breadcrumbs that lead to this point, but the show might have just pushed beyond the zone of suspense of disbelief for me. N. Korean on Mars. I'm guessing we'll find out that this guy was actually first..
I think it's implied that he rode in on the probe with no way homeG Martin 87 said:So are we to assume that the Norks marooned him deliberately? Another unaddressed, if minor, question. Who's cutting everyone's hair? They're all freshly coiffed and clean shaven after months on Mars? On the moon, everybody got pretty ripe and woolly fast and stayed that way.
Exactly. Might as well have New Guinea put an astronaut on Mars.CajunAg97 said:
