Definite Oklahoma City vibes, which I'm assuming was very intentional.

Either you're too young or you haven't watched episode 10

Probably. Though we recently discussed OKC with some of our new grad hires at work and they were not familiar with what had happened, so not impossible.

PS - there are some spoilers i guess maybe. dont know how to redact so be warned.
i really loved the first two seasons - fantastic. i didnt really notice any of the woke efforts in any bad ways.... but that stuff started to overtake the whole show and detract from both the plot and the quality of the show.
women astronauts getting hired and put in the rotation and then *****ing constantly because of how unfair everything is
black dude has to wait till he gets to mars to decide it's time to tell the whole solar system that he likes to **** men instead of women.... ok. who cares. but now he gets a medal.
the two black characters who have been at the tip of the spear of the most privileged people on the entire planet their entire careers, manning the first mission to mars, having inside chats about how they are so downtrodden because they are black.
the nice house wife whose life choices turn to drug abuse, adultery with a child, divorce -- and those great choices suddenly make her a super billionaire business mogul running a mission to mars and a space program.
the ghetto uneducated girl on drugs who suddenly turns into the next Verner Von Braun level genius
the secretly gay president whose (white dude **** up) husband gets busted having an affair and becomes the hero.
north korea suddenly pops up with the first man on mars
white suburbia dudes become terrorists blowing up nasa for ... what... purpose or goal?
all the major **** ups and *******s seem to be the white dude characters in most modern hollywood stuff, and this is no exception
none of this is impossible, but the overall full court press on this bull**** gets tiring once it becomes so noticeable that it overrides the plot.
this is supposed to be a story of mankind doing something incredible and fulfilling its destiny, unlike the way the real world turned out. why turn it into the same bull*****
where did you get the idea that i am really upset about it? I just commented that it is so ridiculous now that the show is suffering.Rocagnante said:cbr said:

Sure hope Poole remembered to go get the gun when they left Danny at Bulhaenghan Gyegog ,or she just might find him waiting to ambush the next supply run.

the first 2 seasons were so much better.
Thought it was telegraphed pretty well. She's blind and stubborn as a mule. There was no way she was not going back into the rubble for more survivors. And the camera lingered on her disappearing into the smoke. Seemed obvious she wasn't going to come back.ChipFTAC01 said:
That's a rather inglorious and vague end to a great character. I don't need to see the building collapse on her or anything but, ok.

Finally finished season 3. It got a little silly at times but was a lot of fun.
If they do the time jump to '03 to start the next season, they'll have to gloss over a lot of unresolved Mars stuff. But either way, I'm in. This show is a wild ride.
And rip Karen Baldwin. Too fine to go.
