My only push back is that I thought pre-pandemic/2019 was one of the best years for movies in a long time. Endgame, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and Jojo Rabbit were each are all-timers for me. Not to mention titles like Knives Out, Ford v Ferrari, Uncut Gems, etc. Every year has plenty of trash, but 2019 gave me a lot of hope, which was of course then killed a couple months later when everything went to hell. Are you talking about 2019 or those couple months right before the pandemic, specifically?

So...is WB just excepting that these movies won't be Oscar eligible? I assumed they'd push the HBO Max dates back a week to keep these films eligible for the big awards, but it seems like they aren't. Did I read that new rule change wrong?
