Between these two trailers today, the new Dune trailer coming Friday, and whatever comes in between, this is looking to be the best trailer week in a long while.

And now that we have trailers for all of them, once again, October 2021 is looking to be the best end-to-end month of movie releases in years, if not ever...

Seriously, the weekend of 10/22 I have to decide between Dune and The French Dispatch to see at the theater? I have a kid, no way I can see both that weekend. I know Dune is going to be on HBO Max, but that is something I need to see in the theater.

I just have one question.

WHERE IS THE MATRIX TRAILER?

(I know I may be asking a bit early, but still.)

Rumors had it releasing with F9 at the end of June, but that obviously never came to fruition. At this point I'm guessing August 6 with The Suicide Squad, since that's the next big Warner Bros. movie (and Matrix is WB as well). They apparently tested a trailer when they tested the movie for an audience last month, so one should be ready to go. Seeing as WB is releasing the Dune trailer later this week, I'm hoping/betting they're saving the trailers for both the next Matrix and The Batman with The Suicide Squad (though they may wait and save Batman for October with Dune).

We should also be seeing at least teasers for MI7 and No Way Home relatively soon.

At this point I'm betting they save the M:I7 trailer for Top Gun Maverick in November. The first M:I6 trailer didn't debut until February of 2018, for a July release that same year, so the same general lead time sounds about right this go around, with the Cruise synergy, etc. Speaking of TG/Cruise, though, with Paramount releasing Snake Eyes this week, MAYBE we get a new Top Gun Maverick trailer in the next couple days?

As for No Way Home, I'd say either with The Suicide Squad on August 6 or with Shang-Chi on September 3. That said, Marvel doesn't necessarily always attach their trailers to big movies, and sometimes just randomly release them online, so yeah, could be any day now for that one.

Folded that. Every few months I get a real itch to do again, but it's just so much to keep track of. That, and my production company is really taking off, and I'm crazy busy with that, so I don't know that I could do another iteration of the site even if I wanted to.

Makes sense. Was trying to go back and tag movies in this thread I want to see and it's daunting.
