it obviously Luke will rise from the dead and Zombie Luke will wreak havoc on the first Order, dead and undead enemies alike.

Rise of Skywalker does not have to be literal.
Just imagine the Rebels' fans audience reaction if they have a 2-second shot of the Ghost cockpit with Hera and Jacen Syndulla flying that mofo in TROSCJS4715 said:
Since Palpatine is a hot topic now, I thought his temptation of Ezra from Rebels would be interesting to watch again.
Sorry for bringing this from 3 pages back, but that is where I last logged in. That skit has been, hands down, the funniest I've ever seen. I have never belly laughed that hard...and it hits me the same every time it gets posted from year to year. Love it!double aught said:jr15aggie said:CJS4715 said:
He is pretty much the guy that Triumph called a super nerd.
Ah yeah... and he was assembled from the parts of lesser nerds!

In this case, the title is clear and they aren't going to give the general audience a convoluted explanation... a Skywalker will rise to help defeat the dark side once again.

You talking about the pic with Matt Smith as a young, dead Palpatine on Naboo, with Rey standing over him, lightsaber ignited?

"The Rise of Skywalker"... this is an even more curious title now having seen the trailer... ain't no Skywalkers anywhere. Leia sorta counts, but we all know her role will be minor.
So why the title?
My personal hope is that both Luke and Anakin Rise to finally defeat the emperor. They both need redemption for choices made as well as some writer/director choices that didn't sit well with fans.
If the emperor can somehow rise from the dead, then the Skywalkers can rise to meet him.

I have to admit, there's not a single satisfying avenue I can think of in which the title makes sense.
