And if I recall, Stewy did mention bear hug agreement, which is basically making a significantly above market offer that puts the company in position to sell out.

This has been an entertaining show - I was a little unsure at first but it is enjoyable. I am curious who is going down in the finale - someone needs to be royally ****ed.

I agree with what was said earlier; I don't have to have "likeable" characters, just convincing ones. And I don't know why it is, but I do find myself rooting for a dispicable character like Kendall. Like rooting for an underdog, like you want to see Wile E Coyote (sp?) beat the roadrunner just one time. Also even though Kendall is not likeable I want to see him get his dad because his dad is so hateful and always seems to come out on top, like nothing can touch him

Yea I'm definitely rooting for Kendall as well.

So last time I was on here I couldn't stand the first few episodes. The very next one I watched was Thanksgiving and I enjoyed it. Watched the next 2 I think and that's where I'm at now. Still not a great show imo but it's finding its legs enough for me to watch through the season and get caught up fairly quickly.

Kendall finally getting a bit of character development (where I'm at in the series at least) and it's almost exclusively due to him being **** on constantly by his dad. But at least his character is getting humanized a bit.

Yikes - started this pilot last night after finishing Sharp Objects. I can't take this Kendall actor seriously, and the constant zooming in and out is nauseating. Is this show supposed to be humorous? I feel like it's trying to be, but it's missing the mark. Writing feels pretty weak.

It's worth sticking with. When we were watching the pilot I was texting with my wife's cousin who got picked up as a staff writer for season 2. Said it really hits it's stride around Ep 4. He was right. We're on Ep 5 tonight and I bet we catch up by the end of the week.

That's so awesome. Hell of a show to be writing for.

I'm currently on 9 so I'll be caught up today for finale tonight. It found its legs and got better but I still can't say I necessarily like the show. It's enough to watch through this season and give s2 a shot on a short leash at this point for me. Hope the finale tonight is good.

Rewatching ep 9, and I think my favorite line of the episode is Connor's.

This show makes me feel dirty and there is nobody to root for.

But that was an entertaining season.

Kendall Roy is basically Theon Greyjoy. Tom isn't very far behind. This show is just constant beating up on others that are weaker. I'm not sure I'll be back for season 2.

I don't mind dark TV and not everything needs a happy ending but I also don't want to watch people just get beat up on constantly. The acting is really good, I'll give it that. I guess I'm hoping for cousin Greg to eventually take over the company.

Sidenote, I wonder if the intention was to make the spots on Kendall's wrist and neck look like leeches.

Really enjoyed the season. Not sure I'm a big fan of the sudden turn, but we'll see. Would have made a good wrap-up as a series finale. But now that it's basically strike 2 of the Kendall takeover attempt with a season 2 ahead, will just have to see where it goes. A couple of plot issues - waterproof phone/case ftw? Convenient to still have a room key even after you lost your room key.

Even tho they are all greasy, I gotta admit I'm on Team Tom and Greg.

I have to say the crash felt like a cheap way for Kendall to fail yet again. It's getting repetitive and in this case, just didn't feel like an organic story beat. Felt very out of place and it brought the finale down for me.

I think I share this sentiment - I'm still trying to figure out exactly how I felt about it - but I can almost forgive the inorganic nature of it because it was at least tied to Kendall's drug use, which has obviously been a thread all season. Still, I'm not a fan of Logan being saved by pure, last-minute happenstance. I generally disdain car wrecks as plot points because they always feel so lazy and random, but again, on a thematic level, it worked for the most part since it was in pursuit of something Kendall has struggled with all season, so it'd make sense that "drugs" would be his downfall.

Still, it would have been so much more interesting had Stewie and Sandy been setting up Kendall from the jump - I thought for a split second Stewie was going to blackmail Kendall with that cocaine, the way they showed Stewie pulling it out of his pocket - and I'm slightly disappointed they didn't go there.

Also, I really wish there would have been more of a nod or set up for season two. There's not even a hint of where they're going, which is kind of lame, but then again, as a new show, they didn't know if they were getting picked up when they wrote/shot it, so I understand ending the season in that manner.

All that said, overall, there a was a lot to love about the finale, and this is still one of my favorite shows of the past few years. Gonna be a long wait for season two...

They're the absolute best. The little nod Tom gave Greg toward the end was genuinely heartwarming. Such a great, subtle moment, and the perfect capper to their arc this season.

Also, Greg finally learning how to play the game was greatness.

"You little Machiavellian f*ck, I see you!"

So good.

"I see you. And I like it." LOL.

Yeah, the Ted Kennedy move just cut this thing way too abruptly and seemed a bit cheap. Not terrible or anything since Kendall's history sets it up, but still not a fan. I do think it may have had something to do with being less confident it would get picked up for another season, and wanting a finish that would make season 1 somewhat standalone. With knowledge it's going 2+ seasons, I think it's more likely they go with a Stewy/Sandy slow burn of Kendall.

Also, the rocket blowing up was a little too comic relief-ish. It was like the whole thing was a set up to tell a really bad, predictable Todd Packer joke.

I hear what you are saying, but the rocket blow-up scene and Roman's reaction to it had me cracking up. And his explanation of pushing everything up so that it happened on Shiv's wedding day also killed me.

I didn't care for the car crash angle in the overall story of this season. Seemed somewhat cheap. But I was glued to the television from the point of the car crash until the end of the episode. Very intense.

I was good with it until it went as far as the two thumbs Todd Packer joke. Then I was like "trying too hard".

Wow, the ending. For awhile I thought Kendall was going to overdose but I'm glad it didn't end that way. Pretty wild. Yes, I am not sure I like the car crash but it was a suspenseful finale. I know i should feel more sorry for Tom but I still dislike his character so much my sympathy for him is limited. Greg continues to make me laugh.

I thought for a second there that when Shiv was telling Tom she wasn't faithful and isn't really interested in being faithful that the switch might get flipped and Tom goes into abusive mode and hits her.

I can see a relationship in which Tom is a doormat in all things but his wife being with other men, but not just 100% doormat.

You could sense that Kendall's story was going somewhere dark as soon as he got in the car, but I thought the dude was actually going to kidnap him.

Great episode, really enjoyed it.

They telegraphed the car accident, you could feel it as soon as he said he could drive. I thought it was super lazy at the time, but I honestly liked the Kendall/Logan meeting at the end to get him back with the family so I forgive the car accident setup.

Roman watching the rocket explode was so good, I thought he might have a stroke.

Connor wins again. From telling Tom and Shiv that if they don't let Willa I the photo he's going to punch Tom in the face, tear off his clothes, and drop a deuce. Deciding to run for president, and the ensuing debate with Willa about art and politics, I loved all of it.

I think the positive buzz on this show is going to keep building, people are going to keep learning about it and get on board.

Can't wait for season 2.

Yeah, how original... And predictable the moment he said, "I can drive."

Decent finale. Invested, so will watch Season 2.

What a total disaster this family is.

Also I can't help but crack up laughing watching the Roman rocket disaster live stream. Lol.

I wish/ hope something would bring their mother to the US for a permanent role. I loved her wicked snark. They could use some of that other than Logan's constant, "**** OFF!"

I also want to see Marsha made uncomfortable. She seems to delight in pitting the kids against Logan for some reason. Maybe she has other motives/ plans. The whole, "who IS she?" angle wasn't played up after it was introduced.
