While I enjoy the awkwardness of The Office if anyone thinks it's the most awkward show they've seen you need to watch Louis and Curb Your Enthusiasm. They ramp up the awkwardness to 11.

One of my favorite lines of the entire series...

"Good luck paying me back on your zero dollars a year salary plus benefits, babe!"

My FIL used to be a very gruff man. In the Corps at A&M, retired (not separated) from the Army as a Major. Took me and him a while to have conversations longer than about 8 sentences.

However, Christmas of '08, we brought the first couple of seasons of The Office to their house to binge watch. I had never seen him laugh so hard.

The first time I saw him dance The Scarn I about had a coronary.

Such a great series, hard to pick a favorite episode.
I will say though that my favorite running gag that went on for two or three episodes was when Holly shows up and Dwight tells her that Kevin is "special". Those scenes with Kevin and Holly after that were absolute genius!!

One of my favorite scenes from that episode is when they're playing charades:

Michael Scott: Alright here we go. This is gonna be fun. Ready? Alright, first name is Tom.

Jan: No, no, no! No names! No rhyming! No sounds a-likes, you actually have to--

Michael Scott: Ok! Ok! You're getting into my head! First name is blank and he goes on a cruise. He goes on a Caribbean cruiseee.

Angela: I don't know.

Jim Halpert: Katie Holmes.

Michael Scott: Bahhhhhh!! But he's married to her!

Jim Halpert: Oh Dawson's Creek.

Michael Scott: No! No, it has to be a real person, Jim, come on! Ok no no I'm gonna pass. Ahh, oh ok! Um, rhymes with Parnold Sporchzenegger.

Jan: No rhyming!

Jim Halpert: No really a rhyme...

Angela: Another clue! Another clue!

Michael Scott: Alright he's the Governor of California, he is The Terminator...

Angela: Those aren't helpful--

Jim Halpert: Tom Cruise!

Ive read and heard a lot of interview with Melora Hardin, and I've come to the conclusion that' I don't like her.

She was on the ticket once and got all offended when they asked if she got a boob job for real and they would never ask a man a similar question. Then Donovan called her on her bs. That's not true. Mark Wahlberg gets asked all the time if that is his real junk in Boogie nights.

Phone AIDS after about three redirects. Ignore it.

Couldn't sleep last night, so I made myself watch Scott's tots. Ugh! It's so bad. I have avoided it on re-watches, so I forgot so much from it, including that this was the episode where Dwight frames Jim into naming himself and then Pam as employee of the month.

Best quote though is when Michael is trying to make everyone feel better about the consolation gift, laptop batteries, "They're lithium".

Ive never attempted to watch it again.

Could barely stomach it the first time.

I need to go back through and watch it again. So many awesome moments. I do agree the last couple seasons after Steve Carrell left were pretty mediocre, and they made Jim/Pam grumpy and not what they were early in the show. But then they kind of made up for it with the last half of the final season.

I was listening to that interview, and I didn't feel like she was all that offended. She did ask the question, but she didn't seem pissed off to me. That was several years ago so memories fade. I remember she immediately quipped back at Dan and asked if he thought they really shot her in the head in Absolute Power.

I will say she comes off as one of those actors that never hit it big, but takes herself a little too seriously. Even in that article talking about the scene with Hunter's song she refers to herself as a "dancer" which is always a red flag.

Whatever. She'll always be Doug Masters's girlfriend to me.

That whole dancer thing is what got me.

It may be she's just insecure.

She is really good in Transparent, tho.

Any time I find myself behind a podium I pound my fists on it and yell out "Blood alone moves the wheels of history!"

I wish I could the exact same thing Dwight did in the Fire Drill episode at my job

Favorite moment:

Pam goes into the stairwell to cry privately. Dwight walks in, sees her crying, puts him arm around her and says, "so you must be PMSing pretty hard, huh."
