Ha. That I have a "social agenda" is news to me. I literally said the "black" angle of this movie interests me strictly on a box office basis and have never even alluded to anything otherwise. And for the life of me, I cannot fathom how you can extrapolate what I said in that link as "the Spider-man reboots failed because Peter Parker was white." That thought has literally never crossed my mind. I was simply saying that I wouldn't throw a hissy fit if they happened to make him black.
I swear, it's so incredibly sad how desperately some of you actively want certain people/groups to rail against, so much so that you'll create narratives out of thin air. You straight up enjoy drawing imaginary lines the sand just to feel better about your own views and positions, and that is supremely ****ed up.
I'm not your enemy, dude. Our social views align probably way more than you think, but you're too busy pegging me as some liberal Hollywood elite or whatever to understand that.
Don't get so defensive.
I never said you're my enemy or anything remotely close to that.
You're a good poster and bring a lot of quality info to this board.
However, you do have a tendency to get really defensive when someone is ambivalent over a movie with SJW themes.
When you get on your soapbox, I've learned to roll my eyes and move on. I suggest others do the same (that's all that my post was saying).
