I feel like the preview gives away too much.

I'm torn about Halloweenthe last one and now this one. The 1978 and 1980 ones were perfect 1 and 2 flicks. Everything else (season of the witch and all the other remakes) just does not have the umph

That movie was freaking brutal. And I don't just mean the violence and body count, but how they really make you feel every death. Overall I liked that even better than 2018.

Some spoiler thoughts:

Loved the 1978 flashback scenes, and I LOVED the use of the original score during those scenes.

The death of the escaped mental patient really got to me. That was sad as hell. And then the boyfriend's death at the end...brutal.

Two things that bugged me a bit --

If you're gonna have us believe he got away from that mob at the end, at least show us how. The close-ups and quick cuts were not really showing how he killed them all and it was frustrating to me.

Also, I wish there was just a tad of an explanation as to why Marion was hanging out with Tommy and Lindsay at the bar. I'm fine with it as a nod to fans, but just a line or two to explain why they'd be hanging with someone old enough to be their mother would've been nice.

But again, those deaths were brutal. And sucks to see Karen and Tommy go. But I had a feeling Karen wouldn't make it out of this one.

Well, that was......different.

I still enjoyed the hell out of it, but that was just not what I was expecting. Brutal is the key word here. There were soooooo many kills in this one, and each and every one was just brutal and they all seemed to just resonate more.

I agree, the opening flashback to 1978 was incredible and unexpected. Plus, it finally answered the nagging question from the last one about how Michael was captured and imprisoned.

I also found it funny that this movie gave Jamie Lee pretty much the same experience as the now non-canon Halloween II in that she spent the ENTIRE movie in the hospital recovering from Michael's attack in the previous film.

My biggest gripes with this film involve just how Michael is moving around the area so quickly (and moving bodies) so fast and without being seen. I mean, how did he get back into his house after killing the mob and get up to the second floor to kill Judy Greer? You'd think someone would notice him.

Lots of lapses of logic in this movie, but still enjoyed the hell out of it. Took my 14 year old to his first horror movie in the theater and he loved it.

Projected to hit $50M this weekend.

$25M less than 2018, but considering it's streaming on Peacock and is competing with Bond this time, that's pretty damn good.

Now don't be dumb, and make Ends a theatrical exclusive.

Much of that lower BO I think is still the lingering effects of COVID. And this movie opened only $5 million less than Bond last week.

That blows my mind.

Halloween Kills should be called Halloween: Hell Comes to Boomerfield

What a silly movie mess of a film. Just give Michael dementia and make it a comedy. He just goes around massless, jibbering and jabbering and with violent eruption awakes to the realization that he is M. Myers and kills whatever unlucky soul he happens to be feeding the pigeons near.

Dude, no one has peacock. Not a soul. Their numbers are beyond the worst of any streaming platform. News is just getting out that this movie is not very good. "Just let it burrrrrrrn!"

Eh, I enoyed it overall, but can definitely see the complaints.

You have to completely suspend disbelief in the last 15 minutes. That was basically where my issue with the movie lies.

I also thought a few things were forced, especially the "Everyone's entitled to one good scare" line which felt completely out of place in that scene.

I think it'll probably hold up much better when seen together as a full trilogy. This is very much a middle film.
