The Slicer is a pretty solid episode. Had the introduction of Kruger, the bad photoshop, Pimple Popper, M.D., and Dr. Van Nostrum.

Quote:

When asked why he was chosen over career officers, Seinfeld said, "Every time somebody promotes an officer, he's always the best. 'Oh, is he good?' 'Oh, he's the best. This guy's the best.' But we can't all be the best. There can't be this many bests. Someone's graduating at the bottom of Officer Training School. Where are those officers?"

Sources say that Seinfeld has gotten to work immediately. Soon after he greeted airmen around his office, he looked down at some of their shoes and said, "First, I wanna talk about these low quarters. What kind of shoe is that? Who calls shoes 'low quarters?' To me, a low quarter is when you see one lying in the street. It's a quarter, it's worth twenty-five cents. You want to pick it up, you'd be twenty-five cents richer. But you don't know where that quarter's been, so you stand there for a minute, undecided. And then you get hit by a car. You know what I'm talking about with these shoes."

the Melrose Place one was on last night. that was pretty funny. Jerry and gang humming along to the theme and bouncing their heads..

That episode is great, but that lady cop is the worst actress of all time.

Semi related:

Anyone see that Mad About You when Kramer was on there? Paul goes to his old apartment he used to live in before he and Jamie got married to get a box he left there and when he shows up we learn Kramer lives there. It was great. Kramer swings the door open and acts all quirky as only he can pull off. I'd put it up against his best scenes on Seinfeld.

Edit: When I say Kramer I do mean Kramer, not Michael Richards playing a different character on Mad About You.

I was watching Chicago Justice when I heard and saw an actress that looked and especially sounded like Elaine's friend who found pastrami to be "the most sensual of all the salted, cured meats".

The younger actress is Stacey Farber, born 1987:

I knew the age difference was too great for it to be the same person, but found out that not only is it a different actress, but that the original actress, Suzanne Kellie Waymire, who was born in 1967, actually died in 2003.

It really makes you think...

I just want to remind everyone that George and Jerry both look at, and then discuss looking at, a 15 year old girl's cleavage.

Also that girl was Denise Richards

That would be the episode where Jerry and George stop by the apartment of the NBC big wig who they are pitching their show to. It was an unannounced visit if I recall, and the big wig was not feeling well, and the daughter came in briefly during which time the cleavage part happened. Of course George can't stop looking, and the big wig (can't remember his name) comes back on set, takes note of George staring at his daughter's tits, and says something "got a good look Costanza?"

later in the same episode, they arrange for Elaine to wear a low cut dress at a restaurant and they catch him peeking in the same manner. He has an "aw, you guys got me" look, and they all make up. Which doesn't make much sense, b/c Elaine's in her 30's and his daughter is 15, but whatever.

He then becomes obsessed with Elaine and quits NBC and joins Greenpeace to try to impress her

GEORGE: My cousin worked for Bouchard's. They used to use the bouillabaisse for a toilet.
RUSSELL: What are you saying?
GEORGE: Well, you didn't hear it from me, but needless to say, if you go in there - stick with the consomm.

Frank : what about your side, you cousin Hennie? She was sickly from the day I met her.

Estelle: don't you talk about Hennie!

I always thought the interactions between characters is what made this show. There are great relationships, but George's parents are amazing. I love the above interaction.

Also I love Susan's parents:

Possibly my favorite quote from the show.
