Thanks for teaching me something today.
You mean the House of Cards journalist chick?

I liked this week's episode. Personally I think I would have just stayed on the island. Lots of resources on the weekender's side of the island.

I'm with you. 200 walkers would be easy to clear on your own terms. I have always thought a smallish island would make the best place to ride out the apocalypse.

This show is slowly losing me, they need to pick it up.

The best is old Fort Jefferson off the coast of Florida.

Biggest issue with any small island is fresh water. For defense, Fort Jeff is great. But will you starve/dehydrated??
Joe Exotic
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Interesting you should ask. Fort Jefferson actually has a system of self filtering cisterns built into the structure. Some are still functioning and have been for almost 150 years now. The island is surrounded by some of the best fishing in the world and the Miami metro area is close enough by boat to scavenge if need be.

I do too but it'll get a little rough making it there from Rockport.

So, I was wondering what happened to the husband at the end of the episode? His turned daughter had just bitten his wife, he sits down and tells Travis to leave. He obviously didn't put his wife down. Are we supposed to assume that he took one of the poison pills to kill himself? If so, why didn't the turned wife stop to eat him? Did he leave to go look for his older son, and that's why the wife wandered out of the room? And if he was still alive, were he and the two sons going to poison themselves?

I think he sat down to either let his wife or his daughter chow down on him.

My mother and her family are from Key Largo. I've been going on fishing trips to the Tortugas since i was a kid. Definitely will be going there.

Cancelling the recording now. Thanks for the reminder.
I enjoy both programs, so I am glad my DVR handles up to four simultaneous programs.

My money says Strand is a U.S. fixer for the Mexican drug cartels. The boat actually belongs to El Jefe down South, and Strand is meeting him with his boat.

I was also guessing that he was involved in the drug trade, but I wonder, at this point, why he would be bothering with wanting to meet up. The drugs are clearly worthless in this world. Maybe they have a secure compound he wants to get to?

Daryl had some codeine in his/Merle's drug bag in season 2 that saved T-Dog.

This. He kept talking about to returning to the land and all that hippie bull****. The last 15 minutes was interesting. I've been an on again off again walking dead watcher. I like the idea of this show. Killing the families hope an episode at a time. The junkie is finally growing on me though I'd shave his stringy hair. I was hoping the emo other brother would get eaten lay episode along with the hot Latina emo girl. They annoy me.

Much better episode tonight imo.

However, a few things bugged me but I know it is a tv show. Why does the old man stay there to shoot the walkers instead of just hauling ass out if there, then the whole group stays to fight them instead of just hauling ass. Also, why pull the boat that far onto land? With the ocean that calm, pull it a few feet out the water so you can book it if anything goes wrong....they had it 100+ feet on shore.

Stuff like that doesn't ruin the episodes for me but it's common sense.

Anyways, I thought it was a much better episode

I didn't pay attention as it was happening, but could it be that they went to shore at high tide so the water level much higher than when they left?

I'm sorry, but I thought tonight was awful.

We're mad at Straind for going to Mexico because.....uh....Mexicans! I guess!

Homie can fix a $10MM boat with a 3 inch binder...and thank goodness he can scuba.

Let's go ashore...and then wander around instead of doing what we came to do.

Oh, I didn't have my pistol charged and ready, my bad. Que dramatic cocking motion.

50 yard head shot! Bam!

I can walker and run and talk and ax (where did I get a double headed short staffed ax???) and not get bit.

While being pissy about Mexico because, uh, (no clue why), we argue about taking an obviously dying guy aboard! Because it will be fun to see him turn in real life!

Get mad at Straind for not towing a dingy at 40 knots.

Edit to add:
they decided they needed a long hug when standing at the boat with the zombies coming after them

It was established the yacht's top speed is 20 knots.
