My problem with SPR is that it has one of the slowest and most pointless second acts of any movie.

The first act is brilliant obviously, and the last act is epic as well. But the middle, oof. It just drags and drags and drags.

Most of Spielberg's movies are like that, but SPR is the worst.

I don't think movies should have to cater nonstop action. Unlike most others, that is why I didn't like the new Mad Max as well.

it doesn't have to be nonstop action. plenty of movies are engaging and interesting without being action packed.

Thin Red Line is a better film than SPR by orders of magnitude.
