Absolutely. Any JCVD fan growing up needs to watch his scene when he breaks through the 4th wall. I was almost crying with him.

Here is his monologue in the movie JCVD, and in pretty terrible quality.

If you are not going to take the time to see the whole movie JCVD which is really good, at least you have to see this part I was talking about. It's nothing like the rest of the movie. It just happens in the middle of it. In the movie, he plays himself.



Still, it's better to see it in context of the entire movie.

Whenever I am backed into a corner, and the only way out is round house kicks in fighting competitions, JCVD is where I find my strength. If he can do it, so can I!!!

Revisited for the first time in maybe 15 years last night. You have to know what you're getting into with JCVD movies. I mean, the dramatic screams and facial expressions. The exploding brick. The prolonged flashback scene (with occasional glimpses of current-JCVD staring at the camera).

It's a certain brand of greatness.

And I will now utter words that have never been spoken before - "I am so hyped to watch Double Impact tonight that I can't sit still"
