Never thought I'd say this, but it's worth watching Incredible Hulk again before seeing this one.
Looking forward to Thunderbolts.

EXCLUSIVE: Marvel Television has paused development on three projects: ‘Nova,’ ‘Strange Academy’ and ‘Terror, Inc.’

Sources stressed to Deadline that these projects were never officially greenlit, and may still come to fruition at some point. The studio has simply shifted its… pic.twitter.com/4zQml5AJZc

Man, Nova has so much potential and I worry we're never gonna see it.
Didn't know there was discussion around a Strange Academy show but the comic is a lot fun, could be really good.
Yeah, Strange Academy would need a big cast and would be pretty weird, but could be a blast if done well.FL_Ag1998 said:fig96 said:

I'll agree with you on Nova, i'm sad to hear they're putting it on hold. But perhaps they felt like they'd already been down that particular character-type road enough times in this phase with Spider man and Miss Marvel and that girl from Dr. Strange 2 ( even though she was extremely lame).
But I can see Strange Academy just being too unknown of a property and characters to take a risk on.

I think the Sam Alexander version lends itself to a series that would be very different really well, poor kid who finds himself connected to this massive universe. Could easily tie into the Guardians as well.
I selfishly want an X-Men Shi'ar movie just so Disney has to put a character named Choad on screenSea Speed said:
I am just so ready for a new take on the X-Men. I'm honestly not really a fan of all these smaller or more recent characters. The X-Men are the pinnacle of comic book characters imo, which if course is influenced by what I was in to as a youth.
They are brilliant events and I really like the character. But that name. Still, seeing Dick Rider pounding his enemies right up the ass on the big screen could give some fans quite the thrill.rhutton125 said:
I'm just now getting to the Sam Alexander run. It's alright so far, but Richard Rider fully-powered cosmic-events Nova is so good IMO. Some of my favorite comic book material in all of Marvel.
I could see Sam stuff being too Ms Marvel-y to be unique. Maybe part of why they kicked it down the road, like someone else said.

Meanwhile, over at Marvel, the studio put out a glorified press release via Deadline, which reported that Marvel is pausing development on three projects that it never announced Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc.
My sources stress that Ed Bernero's Nova series is likely to happen, but not until next year (and possibly with up-and-comer Brandon Sklenar). For what it's worth, they had never even heard of Terror, Inc.
As for Strange Academy, I had heard that Marvel had opened up a writer's room for that series, which was designed to counter HBO's upcoming Harry Potter series, as it, too, would've focused on a school for young wizards and warlocks, etc.
However, Marvel will likely circle back to that series when they have a better idea of what Doctor Strange 3 will be, and when it will arrive. They'll also likely wait for star Benedict Wong to finish up Netflix's 3 Body Problem.
Right now, Marvel's TV division is focused on wrapping up the back half of Daredevil: Born Again (the first half arrives March 4), finishing post-production on Wonder Man, and starting up the Vision series.
Marvel is believed to still be developing Blonde Phantom with Scarlett Johansson as well as a big live-action Wakanda show, and I know Marvel would love to bring back WandaVision's Jac Schaeffer, who just signed on to direct the Holes series for Disney+. She could ultimately return to direct a Young Avengers/Champions project.
The other project to keep on your radar is an X Academy series that will focus on young mutants. It could either serve as a lead-in to the X-Men movie, or a spinoff once the new X-Men characters are established.
It's all part of Marvel's new strategy to develop more shows than it makes, which will allow for greater flexibility, rather than announcing a massive slate and being forced to stick to it.
