That trailer looks really good. Between this and Superman, July is going to be fun.

I LOVE the whole 60's esthetic. I'm a sucker for period pieces, and this combines that with the comics of my childhood.

I'm so in.

Give me that mid century modern look all day.
Same same, absolutely love this art direction. Also really cool that as an alternate universe they've got some license to take that inspiration in their own direction.

Loving what we're seeing from this so far, also just a teaser so lots more to come. Totally in.

To each his own, but I think this looks, well... fantastic.

No other Marvel movie feels anything like it, the production design is incredible, the cinematography doesn't have the same, flat, digital look as most Marvel movies, the cast seems fun, and I really like what little dialogue we hear. The whole thing just comes across as so incredibly unique, which is rare for a Marvel movie nowadays, and feels like it actually has some real heart.

Man, I can't wait.

Is it intentional that Marvel and DC tend to go the same direction with their movies?
In regards to movies, they've been in step with each other lately:
Marvel Infiniti stones vs. DC Motherboxes
Marvel Multiverse vs DC Multiverse
and now a return to simpler, hopeful times
Marvel Fantastic Four vs DC Superman

I will agree that the production design looks great, so hopefully I am wrong.

Good observation. I think the first two were due simply to DC attempting to ape Marvel's basic blueprint, but the "hopeful" thing seems to be more of an overall zeitgeist vibe both are tapping into. If I had to diagnose it from an industry perspective, I think the dark/brooding thing finally grew old in the wake of the Nolan/Snyder stuff, and now, especially post-Covid, post-strikes, and in the wake of Top Gun: Maverick's massive success, filmmakers are looking to make more optimistic blockbusters. Granted, there are of course things like the Dune and Reeves Batman franchises that are still dark and brooding, but now it finally feels like there's more of a balance, I guess.

Half of you tell me to quit being so nit-picky and negative all the time, while the other half of you tell me I'm an easy lay, think everything looks good, etc. When in reality, I simply respond negatively to what I think looks bad and I respond positively to what I think looks good, and it's you who are conveniently ignoring the former.

I will say this looks A LOT better than any F4 movie we've ever gotten….and yes I know that's not saying much but this definitely looks better by leaps and bounds….

But you another trailer that looked cool when it first came out? Lost in Space…

But I'm thinking this'll be good and likely be the best marvel film of 2025

If you dislike something I like, you're a generational hater.

If you like something I dislike, you're a Hollywood bootlicker.

Those posters look AI generated.
In the crowd shot the lady with the camera shows up more than once. Also one of the hands holding a flag is missing a finger.
Something about the girls fingers holding the Thing too.

The closer I examine them the more I think you're probably right. And now there's a big hullaballoo on social media about them potentially being at least partly AI as well. They look cool at first glance, but then yeah, some of the details are pretty bad. Even the one with the VW bug, the street/curb makes no sense, then what business stacks TVs like that (which look nothing like the TVs displayed in yesterday's teaser) in the TV poster? So weird.

FTR, I think it looks fantastic to me, too. That late 50's-early 60's, when I was born, is my favorite decade to wish I'd lived in.

I have seen that stacked TV thing in other movies/TV. Especially depicting a space launch or something like that.

Hollywood also has a long history of twin films. In this case, DC would be on the bootleg versions of all the films on the list of Wikipedia.

The first thing I noticed was how small things head is compared to his hands in the image as well.

I feel like it's a pretty common trope in movies and shows depicting "old times"

I think it's less about the individual characters or their powers (Thing is just a tough guy, Reed is basic, etc) and more about the wild and fantastical adventures they get swept up in. And the best rogues gallery this side of Spider-Man and Batman, really.

I'm no comics historian but I feel like a lot of the wacky concepts we are now used to - time travel, other dimensions, alien empires, meeting alternate-reality versions of yourself - if they didn't originate with the F4 then they were at least explored there very early on.

Notice in the former the TVs aren't literally stacked on top of each other. They're on various stands/levels. Hence why the poster looks like an AI interpretation that's missing that crucial detail. Also, the poster and the still from the teaser above are supposed to depict the same basic idea/conceit, and are meant to be from the same movie, yet they look completely different. Another sign that the posters could potentially be partially AI.

I agree, just saying the people watching stacked TV's through windows has a long history in tv and cinema. I do think I've seen much more similar scenes to the F4 pic in some movies though, it just never left enough of an impression on me to remember off the top of my head

If so, this would mean X-Men would likely be the first MCU movie after Avengers: Secret Wars (May 7, 2027), leaving X-Men for either a July 2027 or November 2027 release, based on Marvel's past release patterns...
