I don't know. Advertising isn't coming back to Twitter. There's 25 million users on Bluesky and it's mostly American. And the Twitter algorithm keeps getting worse.

I imagine it depends on what you want from social media. The problems with using Twitter are making it unpleasant to open and hard to distill what's genuine content and what's farmed or just rage-bait. The blue checks having priority on the replies makes going through any replies on a popular tweet a mess, and yeah, there's a lot more visible extremism than there was before. It's not particularly fun for, say, a Jewish person to just scroll. Advertisers have clearly left and it's a lot of screaming.
I've mostly backed off using any social media aside from TexAgs and occasionally scrolling. Bluesky isn't bad for US news. Twitter is still better for sports and entertainment info.
Not to go down too far of a rabbit hole, but most of the people I follow (art, design, film, animation) weren't very active on Twitter anymore but are now active on Bluesky.
And Twitter is a cesspool when it comes to political discussion no matter which side of the aisle you're on, not to mention the algorithm makes it more or less an echo chamber anyway.

I don't use anything except Facebook, which is a beating anymore, and TexAgs. Never have used Twitter or Instagram although I'll look at things linked from there sometimes.

In my timeline on Twitter, it's suddenly been overrun by people who definitely do NOT believe like I do, so I'd say definitely not an echo chamber. And I can't figure out how to change it.
Yes, but it's not enough to just not be an "echo chamber." If the site is the absolute worst of humanity screaming over and at you, how is that an improvement? I would think the idea is to encourage debate or discussion, but that sure as hell isn't happening and has not been encouraged.
Get out of the "for you" tab and just read the people you follow.
I'm verified on Twitter but don't follow a single person so I get a pretty healthy mix of everything. A lot of finance, real estate, DIY, rage bait, leftism, racism, black Twitter, of course pr0n which I could do without, intellectualism, right wing stuff, and a healthy dose of whatever is trending that day. It's much more fun than texags these days.

I think maybe one person is kind of sort of coming across as mildly annoyed by Twitter now. Otherwise, I don't see anyone else complaining or disappointed. I know I'm certainly not. By and large people are just stating facts about the differences between the two platforms.
Twitter is like what the Internet was like in the early 00s and we are all better for it.

Not could be. It is. That's literally the reason why. I'm not being F16. The people that went there en masse this year was because folks on the left got butthurt that Elon got red pilled and stopped twitters practice of censoring right leaning opinions and commentary. Their echo chamber was blown up and they wanted their own echo chamber again.

For instance, my "For You" feed is consistently filled with far-right-wing conspiracy bull****, yet I don't follow anyone in that space. I don't follow Elon either, but somehow damn near every one of his tweets end up in my feed, which are also 90% anti-left.
That said, I'm not complaining, and I still love the platform for everything else it offers. I'm just saying that I completely understand not wanting to be inundated with the toxic insanity Elon has unleashed on that site. It didn't just balance out. It objectively turned into a pro-right-wing website, where the loudest, most obnoxious, most conspiracy-minded people are rewarded with the highest levels of exposure.
Either way, I'm as guilty as anyone else here, but the Marvel thread should be the Marvel thread and we should let this conversation die.
