Does anyone know where Brave New World is in the timeline? Like is it immediately after Falcon and Winter Soldier, or is it down further?

Been doing a full rewatch in timeline order and am trying to time where I'm at in February accordingly.

What's Evans' best role post Endgame? Provably Knives Out and I'm not sure it's even close.

After some quick research, because I was curious as well...

- Avengers: Endgame concludes in-universe fall 2023.

- The Falcon and the Winter Solider takes place six months later, spring 2024.

- Seeing as Ross has recently been elected president, and 2024 is obviously an election year, Captain America: Brave New World likely takes place late 2024 at the earliest - or - at the latest, at some point during the first half of 2025.

Looking at the timeline, it seems some entries have already taken place in 2025 (Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Wakanda Forever, etc). So my guess is that *our* 2025 is the year our calendar and the MCU in-universe calendar finally sync up, with Brave New World, Thunderbolts*, and The Fantastic Four all roughly taking place around the same time they release (February, May, and July, respectively). Then, starting in 2026, all MCU entries would basically be in "real time" as they release.

That would be my pick. He's had a rough go of it post-Marvel, starring in some really ****ty movies, hence why he probably accepted Deadpool & Wolverine and this. That said, it seems he has a couple interesting indies coming up, with some good directors, so hopefully he's able to bounce back.

I mean Red One is destined to be a classic…

(Ok not really but it was actually reasonably entertaining for what it was.)

My guess is that they wouldn't want to be stuck in the post-snap "global resettlement" storyline of Falcon & Winter Soldier for another slate of movies. Should probably go full comic book mode and just ignore some of the last big storyline to start the next one.

Did the guy who was in charge at NBC get fired for all that? Gotta be the worst series of programming decisions ever.

I can see 20 years from now, some theaters having an intentional bad movie marathon of Madame Webb, Morbius, and I'm assuming Kraven the Hunter is going to qualify.

Maybe being a ghost in Gladiator 2 might have been abetter choice for RC.

I need to do some catching up. I've only seen the 1st Venom and Morbius. Is there any word on Kraven's quality?

Kraven the Hunter has an actual, legit good director, J.C. Chandor, who has only ever done serious dramas prior to this. It also features the best cast of the bunch, IMO. Now, will those two things make for a good movie? The odds are still against it, but it at least has the best shot. That said, personally, I won't be seeing it.

I want to see Kraven but I'll rent it.

So this (along with the other reasons you mention below) actually give me some hope for Kraven.

Not having to be a part of something bigger or lay any ground work for what comes next might actually enable them to just tell an interesting standalone story about a character.

For better or worse Sony dropped the first 8 minute of Kraven last week so you can get a taste for yourself. It seems to have its moments either way but could maybe be at least a decent popcorn watch?

To add to that question….i believe box office wise this movie will do the same as madam web or possibly worse…..BUT that will be due not just because of it being a bad film….

Madam web has left such a bad taste in people's mouths but was at least a fun film to hate….so madam web coming out before kraven is going to hurt it more since it's another fake spider-Sony-verse film that likely now nobody is excited for….

Gonna make my call the domestic box office for this film comes in within 10% of madam webs (+ or -) box office

Cheers to Adam Scott for being in one of the worst movies and one of the best TV shows (Severance) at basically the same time.

Alright, this will be one I may see, at some point, when I am bored and have absolutely nothing else to do

I don't even remember Madame Web other than hot girls and a story that I still am not sure where it was going.

So now that Sony is done with this, can these characters return to the MCU so we can get some good stories?

Kraven's Last Hunt deserves a proper movie

Knull would have been an awesome Thanos-level villain

First eight minutes looked pretty good. I will probably watch. Sony Marvel movies are pre-disposed to automatic hate, for good reason, but we'll see.
