Uh your idea of what is going to rewatch a bigger audience is way off here my friend. Dune, for as awesome as it was is far more niche than any marvel movie. People with kids aren't rushing to see Dune 2.
Dune two is by far the movie I am looking forward to this year but there is no way it outperforms marvel.
Please show me where I stated that people are going to bring their kids to Dune: Part Two or that it is going to outperform Marvel. Obviously, neither of those things will happen. Dune: Part Two *will* be stiff competition, though, and in its second weekend *will* take dollars away from The Marvels. That's all I'm saying.
It is a pretty clever date for the Marvel release though. It will own the box office the weekend of the 10th. Whe Dune 2 comes out on the 17th, that's the start of Thanksgiving weekend and lots more people, especially kids and families will be going to the movies that whole week since most people are off school and mostly off work. Although Dune 2 might knock it down a peg that week, both movies should see big crowds.
Sorry, I meant "movie of the year" in terms of critical response, how it will resonate in pop culture, etc. I'm under no illusions that it will be the highest grossing movie of the year, and probably not even close.
Also, that November 17th date is old. Dune: Part Two has since moved to November 3, the weekend before The Marvels.
That video with the sarcasm is sure to get a bunch of views and likes for being uniquely edgy.
It's early, but the tracking for Guardians 3 is not impressive so far. $130M opening.

If reviews are good I would expect that number to go up quite a bit. Kind of like how Mario exploded due to world of mouth. That said, I do admit that, three weeks out, there doesn't seem to be as much buzz as I would have expected.

this was released 11 days ago by Screen Culture but i went back and haven't seen this GotG 3 trailer posted anywhere....
while i think it's been technically made by Screen Culture it's all footage from GotG3 and it's using some new footage that apparently disney released in some quick videos/promos....
and yeah....this is gonna hit us all in the feels just the question is using who/what in order to do it....
Edit: should add that thumbnail is artist rendered and is not in the trailer with Rocket looking like that....

Just found out Disney is doing a special event on May 4th where you can get a special 2pm private screening of the movie and get into Epcot afterhours to ride the Guardians ride and other stuff to your hearts content. We happen to be there that day but weren't planning on going into the park so we are going to try and grab these tickets. It is for Disney Vacation club members

Okay okay okay...so there's this guy named Kang who's a bad dude right? He's all like "yo I'm coming to take over your world" but really he's fixing it and there's like a thousand of him so people got really freaked out. Then Scotty and Hope and the whole fam get sucked into the quantum realm and had to go fight him and Scotty beat him up which was kind of surprising cause like Scotty is fit but this dude was like swole ya know? But then this Kang guy was like him but then he was NOT him because of multiple timelines and the TVA and a whole lot of other things, so now we're like it's the dude but not the same dude...

This is the best news Will Smith has ever heard.
Man it feels tough to hold it against Marvel if they air Loki 2 with Majors since it was all shot before any of this came out. I get that it's more complex than that, but tough spot for Marvel.
