Dumb question. Are Krees a particular race of beings, or do they just come from the same planet?

There's also Djimon Honsou's character, who looks normal.

Thor Dark World had those weird portals. Guardians 2 had Ego seeding just planets in one galaxy, right?

Question on the cosmic part of the MCU. Are all the planets and aliens we've seen since Guardians 1 all in the same galaxy? In Thor 1 when he's teaching Jane about the realms, I got the impression those were parallel universes. Then, in later movies, everyone seems to know what Asgardians are. It seems like they've been a little inconsistent on this, but now I think it's all one galaxy.
i think james gunn indicated that guardians takes place in a different galaxy from the rest of the MCU...i'll see if i can find the link

so gunn tweeted that guardians takes place in the andromeda galaxy

And anytime anyone brought the movie up, i'd tell them to shut it or I would finally snap.

This comment deserves a blue parachute. Am I the only one who caught this?

You aren't, and he even said right after that he was joking about that part.

Fox acquisition is set to finalize on March 20th.

Before anyone suggests it.... there's almost no way they have a X-Men, Deadpool or FF reference in the ending or a post-credits. They probably have a plan for how they want to do things by now, but they wouldn't want to handcuff a future director to a decision made years before the actual film, or have an awkward retcon like Thanos having the infinity gauntlet in the AoU post-credits.

These were C List comic book heroes at best before Iron Man. It's so impressive what Marvel Studios has done.

Some posters may not be old enough to remember the popularity of the Hulk TV show, or the older cartoons. It is fair to call Hawkeye and Black Widow and Ant Man lower tier.

Heck, when I was a little kid the comic book rack with the main Marvel titles was always near the checkout of the convenience store, there were Marvel bubblegum pack trading cards, the main character images were on slurpee cups, and there was even a Secret Wars toy line in the 80's. But that definitely faded away over time.

If Iron Man, Thor, Cap and Hulk were C list superheroes, then who the Hell was on the b list?

I used to watch the Iron Man cartoon in the early 1990's. He was the only Marvel character I ever liked growing up.

Aside from Hulk, we hardly knew they existed growing up.

Spiderman
XMen
Batman
Superman
Wonder Woman
Hell, even Punisher was bigger (He had a cool Nintendo game)

Is "double aught" your class year?

Captain America has been around forever, since the 40s. I remember the Hulk show in the late 70's, and Iron Man has been around since '63. Thor too. Even Ant-Man and Wasp were original Avengers in the 60's.

Ranker has Cap and Iron Man in the Top 10 of all time in terms of comic book appearances, with Thor at #11.

As A-List as anyone you mentioned.

Granted, I knew Superman and Batman better because I like DC better, but as far as Marvel this is the top.

So if a character doesn't have movies, cartoons or video games made after them, they're c list heroes? It seems to me, you have less than 10 characters that weren't c list prior to a decade ago. My guess, is that you probably didn't read comic books growing up and only knew of those that crossed over into 90s pop culture.

For the most part, that's correct. And I probably should've made that more clear.

Like the large majority of the general public, I never thought about the Avengers prior to ten years ago, thus making what Marvel has done quite impressive.

In the same boat. I knew about the X-Men cause I read the comics and spinoffs in the mid through late 80's. Prior to MCU, outside of X-Men, about the only super heroes either DC or Marvel I could easily name/identify were the Justice League variety, Spiderman, Hulk, Capt America, and Iron. But didn't know much about them beyond their appearance. And Thor was Norse mythology to me then.

I never really got into comics. I knew about Captain America and Hulk, but not iron man or Thor. First I really knew about iron man was in an Xmen legends game circa 2004/5.

Xmen were on my radar waaaay before anything else. I remember Punisher, Spawn and Ghost rider had some popularity for a while in the 90s

Spiderman was probably the most well known, though. But in my childhood and teen years, Batman rule pop culture.

First thing I ever knew about the Avengers was I watched some animated movies on Netflix around 2006/7. Maybe around the time of the Eric Bana Hulk movie? Can't remember, exactly.
