I love the Marvel movies, but let's not pretend like Marvel fans are level headed in regards to the competition or have better opinions of movies. I love DC but I'm not about to act like BvS was a masterpiece. Almost every Marvel movie is better than any DC movie, but that doesn't mean this thread is a good place to ask the opinion of DC movies. Any Marvel fan will tell you Aquaman sucks and is worse than Hulk (it's not).

Actually lots of us are fans of both, the Marvel films have just been superior in pretty much every way.

Aquaman is worth seeing if you're into these sorts of films, it's not a great movie but it's a fun popcorn flick and probably the best the DCEU has to offer.

It's a good flik like Avatar was. Beautiful, plot all over the place, "you don't belong here" mentality.

I thought Aquaman was very much a "comic book" movie in the sense that it completely nailed the absurdity of plot, writing, and setting that the comic medium allows. As a work of filmmaking, it was hardly artistic in any of those respects but I don't think it cared (and WB definitely doesn't care as it counts its money).

If you can have a good time with how much it doesn't take itself seriously, one could enjoy it for what it is.

Agreed, for me it was the first DCEU film that was genuinely fun. It wasn't great but had tons of action and was entertaining in a ridiculous way.

Finally got started on Punisher season 2. Three episodes in and it's already pretty good.

Are any of the current Netflix Marvel TV shows going to continue on or are they basically all done?

Jessica Jones and Punisher haven't been canceled yet, but its likely that when season 3 of Jessica Jones airs, that will be it for Marvel on Netflix.

FWIW, there was mention of a Punisher S3 in a recent interview with Jon Bernthal, not sure if it was something actually said or just something the author inserted though.

I just had a idea that is crazy enough that it might work. Dr strange says that he went forward in time 14.6 million times, but we see him physically sitting there in the present, all tweaking out. What if he sent his Astral form into the future to view the alternate timelines? He could then exist post snap to guide Tony and Nebula, bc his astral form is linked back to the time stone while still in his possession.

a mutant or F4 reveal in the end credits might break the internet

Ralph already did that.

I am betting that what happens is they go back in time but their actions cause them to end up in another timestream.

So the MCU (which contains Earth-199999) will essentially be wiped out, and they will now be Earth-616, the Marvel Prime universe.

And that is how mutants will now exist when they did not before, and how the Fantastic Four will exist when no one had heard of them, etc.

All by taking another timestream as a result of their actions.

Only issue with that is the plan for this phase and into the next couldn't possibly include the Fox properties, right?

That was quite possibly the greatest post credit scene ever!

. Maybe if it's Wolverine, F4 will be met with indifference and eye rolls.

Not a chance they go with something that complicated. The average moviegoer is an idiot.

I would pay an extra $10 to put that ahead of Endgame in the theater tbh

what if they kill off Steve, Tony, and a bunch more in Endgame, only to, in a later movie, say that these guys were their Skrull versions and bring back the OGs? that would be awesome

You run into a Mad-Eye Moody situation, where all the character moments or growth are invalidated because that wasn't who you thought it was the whole time.

Someday I could see them doing a film where the Hawkeye you're seeing is revealed as a Skrull halfway through, but they'd never say "Hawkeye has been a Skrull since Civil War" or something like that. Too many issues, IMO.

I really hope that isn't the case. Not with the main OG cast. Seems cheap.

That would be the dumbest thing ever and something I would put on the level of The Suicide Squad movie.
