Cap got his shield back!!

It was a standard, 30-second spot and Marvel has already confirmed they're only using first act footage in the marketing. What more did you expect?

Neither the trailer or that spot have gotten me hyped for the movie.

Though to be fair, it can only go downhill after IW. It just feels like the air was taken out of this franchise in that movie.

We all have our own opinions, but I think in this case it's just you. I for one love that these trailers don't tell us much. And the "left behind" poster and the whole feel of them being alone was a great touch.

It might be just you. Personally, I'm FAR more excited for this movie than IW. I not only love the look, vibe, etc we're seeing so far, but there's just something about this that feels truly special. It doesn't feel like they're advertising a movie - rather, it feels like they're perfectly teasing a mystery - a once-in-a-generation event - set up by one of the most memorable cliffhangers of the century. I'm SO curious to see how they reverse The Snap, and they're whetting the audiences' appetite perfectly, IMO. I literally don't want to see any more footage than what we've been given so far.

I don't need these to get my hype. I've been hype sense it IW came out.

I hope they don't show to much because there is no way im strong enough to not watch.

This is the most hyped I've been for a movie in my life.

That's exactly how I felt walking out of the movie. But The Snap has become such a pop culture staple/phenomenon since then that I'm just along for the ride now, and understand exactly why they did it. Imagine IW without The Snap. Imagine them ending on some other, less memorable cliffhanger, and how much more dull all the chatter and hype would be. Yes, they sacrificed "stakes" in a certain way, but they've more than made up for it with curiosity and anticipation. It's not ARE they going to undo The Snap, it's HOW they're going to undo The Snap, which is honestly more compelling, IMO. There's still suspense, it's just a different kind.

I don't get the "the snap doesn't matter". All the characters alive right now believe their friends are all just gone/dead. The whole point of movies/books is to put yourself in the place of the character.

That Endgame teaser actually showed us a lot... not of the plot, but of the context. Everyone is reunited and working on one front. Significant time has passed and the Snap totally upended a world that is still trying to cope. Sets the stage very nicely.

And for those who keep complaining about their not being stakes, are you not paying attention? Yeah, Spider-Man and Fury and others we know are somehow brought back, but do you really think Marvel is just going to revert things back and everyone will move on like nothing happened? However the Avengers save the day, there will be huge consequences and very meaningful stakes. Why would you STILL doubt Marvel, and especially the Russo Bros?

That to get back to the point, and essentially restore the world, others will have to pay a huge price and sacrifice for the greater good and will make a lasting mark on the world.

Can you imagine GOTG 3, where rocket is the only one that knows he saved the universe. I can imagine him muttering under his breath when he feels that quill isn't giving him any respect.

I just love that the same people who love the craptastic DC movies and are excited about the upcoming ones (really, a DC Super Pets movie?) aren't excited about this culmination of God knows how many years of excellent Marvel movies and are doubting that the upcoming ones will be any good.
