Like "Ve'Nam"?

Just messing. Really like the Marvel 2in1 with Thing and Human Torch, and the Fresh Start series for Iron Man and Captain America. Didn't like ASM because they seemed to just be trying to put Peter and MJ back together for fan service.

I liked ASM yesterday! Boomerang is one of my favorite characters from Superior Foes, so I'm hoping for a bunch of him moving forward.

Wonder how much traction a weekly comics thread would get on here. Maybe a monthly comic book club? Or would that be for a different forum?

The Russo Bros. were just known for tv comedy with their biggest movie being You, Me, and Dupree, but have turned out 3 of the best comic book movies in Winter Soldier, Civil War, and Infinity War. Gotta trust the process here!

Seconded, so much fun.

It's interesting though, for most of these directors their Marvel debut has been their first big budget action/VFX film (Favreau, Gunn, Waititi, Russo Bros, Ryan Coogler, Scott Derickson, Jon Watts, Peyton Reed). I'd love to hear an interview with Feige talking about what he looks for in picking directors for their films.

Very surprising being that I hadn't heard a single thing about any uproar. Maybe I just wasn't listening but I never saw a single tweet about any of this building.

Also his explanation seems pretty dead on. The latest Tweet was from 2012. 6 years ago!

Also surprising being that Marvel is pretty renowned for how through they are in vetting directors and actors, or so I thought.

I hadn't heard rumblings of any of this either. It's all news to me. Sucks, because he seems like a genuinely good guy now. Been following him for the past couple years on social media and he's always been super cool and level-headed. I know a couple people who know him and they've had nothing but great things to say as well.
