Holland can't keep a secret. There. Now you know.

Ah, I didn't read that thread... I did finally see WW last week and while not a bad movie, holy crap is it massively overrated.
Pretty sure I know exactly what happened in that thread...
Completely agree. That reviewer's insight isn't as novel as he thinks it is. I've argued this for a while when people say they're tired of comic book movies and think they'll run out of ideas. Why? Successful comic titles involve all kinds of genres - scifi, crimefighting, Westerns, old fashioned Medieval quests, capers, etc.rhutton125 said:
I feel like that's where Marvel has been going for a little while, but maybe they can lean into it a bit more. Winter Soldier is political thriller, Ant-Man is a heist film, Spider-Man is a high school film, Black Panther may be back to geopolitical thriller.

Transformers and (mainly) GI Joe comic books were what first hooked me in as a Marvel reader. They did some incredible cross promotion in those days.

Do you remember when Cobra Commander was actually in a Transformers episode?
That blew my mind.

I think Cobra Commander and Starscream had the same voice actor.

I think the challenge is to get right into those stories without doing too many origin stories. Once we've accepted that there is a world with superheroes and villains, you don't necessarily need to explain them all in detail. No more than a Western needed to explain how everyone ended up in Dodge City.

Feige told the Toronto Sun that Avengers 4, which currently does not have a working title, would be the last installment in the current MCU. After that movie, Feige explained, the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming will represent a new period for Marvel. It will help to kickstart a new MCU future with new superheroes for audiences to get to know.
"The original 22-movie arc ends with the untitled Avengers in May of 2019, and then two months later it will be Peter Parker and Spider-Man that usher us into the aftermath and how things proceed from there," Feige said.

But do we really think Marvel is killing off Iron Man AND Captain America over the course of the next two Avengers movies?
i think we see Stark's scarlet witch-inspired vision from Ultron come to fruition.TCTTS said:
Definitely seems as if both RDJ and Chris Evans are done after Avengers 4. But do we really think Marvel is killing off Iron Man AND Captain America over the course of the next two Avengers movies? I could absolutely see one or the other, but both seems a bit much. That said, it would be pretty cool to see them unite again in one, last, sacrificial effort, which could be a fitting way for both to go.
Maybe Cap going into military leadership and Falcon takes over as Cap? (Or Bucky.)TCTTS said:

Consider me very against recasting any of the current characters, even in some kind of alternate, post-Thanos reality.
Vision 100% is going to die.TCTTS said:
Yeah, you're probably right.
So who lives?
- Spider-man, obviously.
- The Guardians of the Galaxy (seeing as the third movie is coming in 2020.)
- Black Panther? (I think the first movie is going to be such a massive success that Marvel will absolutely want a sequel or two)
- Captain Marvel? (I just can't see them killing her two months after introducing her.)
To me, those are the only sure bets. Who else? Doctor Strange? Winter Soldier?
Actor-wise, I just can't see RDJ, Evans, or Hemsworth coming back for any more movies after Avengers 4, but who else likely dies with them?
